As someone with a portfolio of energized land assets here is what I am seeing: 1. Neoclouds are disorganized and poorly capitalized. Some are definitely better than others however. 2. Hyperscalers are intractable, bureaucratic organizations that take 3 months to do an NDA and want 18mo escrow periods. We built our portfolio by competing against these terms because of our speed and simplicity. The more future assets orgs like ours win, the bigger the problem for the hyperscalers downstream (see 3). 3. There are delays in the existing pipeline that will catch people off guard in 2027. Hyperacalers will (obviously) react by focusing on their own internal compute needs over any third party. If the third party is a model company, they will tell them to go through their model router where they will also take a non-trivial vig. Them telling Ant they have no compute for them (rumored in Ant’s S-1) if true is a huge tell that this is already happening. All of this is to say that it does look like there will be a lot of partially stranded compute and compute sitting in inventory in 2027 than is currently forecasted. This is bought and paid for but effectively underearning (below total cost of capital) or collecting dust. We see this as true for everyone - model companies, hyperscalers, neoclouds except ONE (you can guess which one). This dislocation will benefit two kinds of orgs: the non-bureaucratic big scalers who can build industrial scale quickly and the nimble, well capitalized players feeding them. 2027 will be a turbulent year because it will clear out a bunch of wrong/bad bets. It will also be a consolidation year for a few.

I think we’re going to see a lot of stranded compute in partially complete data centers

Yeah and it’s EPIC —this is in our studio yesterday
It seems Unitree has turned its Spring Festival Gala performance into a commercial product. Unitree has launched the "UniUni" Intelligent Swarm Control System. It enables the rapid, intelligent choreography of fleets of humanoid robots for group performances, such as kung fu routines or dance sequences.

So much talk lately about AI consciousness let’s see what the robots think 🤔

People think AI coding means humanoids are plug-and-play now. Guy bought a Unitree G1 EDU from us last week. Next day he’s back saying it’s faulty and wants a return. Engineers remote in, dig around. He’d pointed Claude at the onboard Ubuntu box with root access and started running commands. Claude wiped the ROS workspace, configs, and half of /opt. He thought we wouldn’t see😅

I swear this video is not AI slop 😡 so we stuck celebrity faces on 6 Unitree G1s and had them dance together yes that's @elonmusk in front. he nailed it btw not gonna lie, the sync came out way cleaner than we expected lol

Holy crap Ring camera caught a crazy accident last night by our building in Dallas. This man is very lucky to have survived.

AGI has finally arrived, so we decided to ask it which religion it would choose… Watch till the end!

I’m a huge fan of @elonmusk but literally every single one of these artificially boosted posts about Grokbot do not show any capabilities that Claude and Open AI don’t already have. Happy to be proven wrong ! When is someone going to have a natural integration for WhatsApp? Then I’ll switch over right away
I’ve spent my life using and building software. With almost no effort, @bot is the first machine I’ve talked to that produced exactly the outcome I desired. A human assistant now feels like the long way around. This may be the best product ever built. Congrats to the @bot team.

This is the humanoid bot equivalent of lidar vs pure vision (tendon being the pure vision equivalent in the analogy). What I’m reading is “it was too hard for us and we gave up”. So far, the hand you have shown doesn’t have anywhere near human-level dexterity.

Let me get this straight. A 25-year-old hedge fund managers positions all just blew up and he is still up more than me this year🤯🤯
Here is the full letter Leopold sent to his LPs last night. Rumors of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

When was someone gonna tell me that the guy behind situational awareness is 25 years old!! Honestly super impressive to be able to cause this level of chaos at such a young age he has a bright future ahead of him😂

The US just banned new Chinese humanoid robots. I work with these platforms every day. Here’s the uncomfortable reality: America is in a precarious position in the AI race. We have maybe a 6-month lead on frontier models. That’s not a real lead. One stall, one non-linear leap by the other side, and it’s gone. China has orders of magnitude more energy.
China has orders of magnitude more manufacturing capacity.
And right now, the vast majority of actual humanoid robot hardware is made in China — and they’re basically the only ones selling usable platforms at scale. The bottleneck in humanoids is no longer the body. It’s the intelligence.
To build that intelligence, US companies (especially startups that aren’t swimming in capital) need real robots to experiment on. Right now those robots are almost all Chinese. These systems are still deep in the R&D phase. They’re not a serious operational threat. Banning them doesn’t protect us from some imminent danger — it just makes it much harder for American teams to train, iterate, and innovate on the intelligence layer. If this sticks, the only thing that can realistically keep the US competitive in humanoids is Elon knocking Optimus out of the park. That’s it. That’s the entire margin of error.
China, which supplies the vast majority of the world's humanoid robots, has suddenly been cut off from its largest export market as the US government moves to curb its reliance on foreign technology. cnn.it/4yIcWz6

It’s become pretty clear at this point that whichever frontier Lab has the most dangerous security threats is also the one with the best model now they are breathlessly trying to one up each other as to which model is more “dangerous“ May the best cyber weapon win
We're partnering with @huggingface to investigate an unprecedented security incident. Cyber-capable OpenAI models compromised Hugging Face production during a benchmark evaluation. Sharing preliminary findings to help defenders understand emerging risks: openai.com/index/hugging-fac…

How long can 3 humanoid robots hang out at a mall before getting kicked out? The public loved them unfortunately security did not 😭 Where should we go next?

Just interviewing my robot in the backseat about why security kicked him out of the mall… dude starts unloading every tin-foil-hat conspiracy you can imagine 😂 Bro went full deep state in 30 seconds. Watch till the end, this one’s unhinged.

Trump messed up we could have lost without Balogan and kept our dignity. What a disgrace
The worst thing about this US loss isn't that they lost. It's that they let down President Trump, who risked his life to get that red card revoked.
