You’re not angry enough.. snowy 2.0 isn’t even a net power generator.. it consumes more pumping shit uphill than letting it back down.. but this cost won’t be captured as a “transition cost” and the unreliables will be deemed the cheapest power source cos reasons

20GW is the entire Aussie grid.. roughly 80mtpa of coal (should you choose to power it that way).. don’t go long energy if you don’t want to… there’s a glut after all
ELON MUSK SAYS SPACEX CAN BRING POWER ONLINE 12 TO 18 MONTHS FASTER THAN ANYONE ELSE
And he has a plan to add 20 gigawatts next year
On the earnings call, Musk said SpaceX $SPCX is turning on about 220,000 Nvidia $NVDA GB300 chips every month, and that pace will speed up next year. He expects to reach close to 3 gigawatts of compute in the next few months.
He says he's highly confident SpaceX adds another 10 gigawatts next year, for about 13 total. The bigger plan would add 20 gigawatts, and he says the odds of getting there are "rising rapidly."
He kept the details of that plan private, calling it "highly proprietary" because if he spelled it out, others would try to do the same thing.
One advantage he did share comes from rocket engines. Turbine blades and vanes are one of the biggest bottlenecks in the industry, running 12 to 18 months behind the rest of the turbine. SpaceX is now casting its own, using what Musk calls the most advanced casting capability on Earth.
"That means that we can bring power online 12 to 18 months faster than anyone else."

Tungsten was a US$12b market.. the western producers had maybe 20% of that market (US$2.4b pa revenue) but just two western equities repriced in equity value from near zero to US$10b the past year (add in the shitcos and maybe US$12b).
You need sweet FA capital to enter these markets to swing them.. and the niche metals are copping a battering today. Cycles cycle.
I threw #tungsten into below and updated some prices... point in below post still stands...
Listened to the #29M call.. thought it was pretty risky to show the quarter (always a heavy cash burn) without the funding... but C'est la vie.
Mgmt told the analyst who said why dont you go slow and not stream to go fk himself.. so I think either a stream happens here (next 2wks) or they are in a predicament.
All the math is below.. and don't worry.. im used to folks shitting on my ideas. HODL.
Has the @moneyofminepod team ever been wrong on one of these?? 🧐👀🍿 #29M
Aussie refiner Ampol $ALD.AX reported its refinery margin dropped from US$31/bbl in Q2 to US$24/bbl in Q3. Some of this was due to planned maintenance preventing the production of high margin products like diesel. But some was due to physical premiums blowing out.. check this…

Sipping a coffee & analysing last cycle as this one feels eerily similar & arguably better.. couldn't help noticing the almost identical patterns so made a 2021/22 fractal & it lines up beautifully.. $YAL.AX #coaltwitter
Anglo $AAL.L only provide YTD realised prices.. but if you do the math between YTD June and YTD Sept.. the iron ore price realisation is 💀💀.. it’s pretty dire out there 😬
One of the biggest lies mining companies will tell you is that "growth capex" leads to growth and so shouldn't be included in a metric like all-in SUSTAINING capital..
Have a look at the "growth capex" profile below... and the production profile... (hint- neither moves +/- 10% for the past 5 quarters) and tell me that capex does anything more than sustain operations $RRL.AX
