Sliders are so much better than asking Codex: "please add 5% more contrast and restart". There's still things where traditional tools beat AI by a mile in productivity.
There is a duality to the symbolism of color yellow in @inearth_game.
Yellow is a color of stigma in European tradition, it was used for branding heretics, Jews, prostitutes, and other outcasts - not unlike our protagonists.
Yellow is also the color of Gold, the final product of the alchemical Great Work, as heraldic Or it represents dignity and power.

Steam seems to want to give programmers a free pass, but the way the disclosure rules are worded is muddy. Developer can classify anything they want under productivity improvements, because that’s what automation is. And AI is automation. Many professional art pipelines nowadays have GenAI steps. Professional motion capture has been GenAI assisted for a while already. Much cheaper than old way of doing it. Steam has tried to phrase the AI disclosure in a way that all these currently used professional pipelines don’t need to be disclosed, as every AAA game would then need a disclosure. Same for Codex/ClaudeCode. Study shows that 70% of game programmers already use them. LLM is GenAI, but Steam wants to allow them too. I was using Codex to drive Blender. Is that fine? Unclear at the moment. Seems that gamers don’t rage about GenAI used to clean up your animations and mocap (even if trained on ”stolen” assets), generate UV maps (even if trained on ”stolen” assets) of writing the code (even if trained on ”stolen” game code). Thus Steam allows those without a disclosure. Super arbitary rules. But could could say anything is used to improve productivity to get a free pass :)
I try to reach deep into humanities when working on @inearth_game.
There are influences from hermetic, judeo-christian, and pagan traditions all over the game.

Biggest plot twist of the AI era, from all the cybersecurity news lately:
The "slop code" was written by humans.
Every breach postmortem for the last 20 years: "legacy code nobody understood."
Decades of it. And AI is the first thing that's actually reading all of it.
