Unlikely that anything will be done in the next 6 days.
Calif will process votes every day -- separating the ballot from the envelope so that the vote is counted and no able to be segregated in the days or weeks ahead,
The bigger problem is that Carter just told state and local official that their actions are not illegal.
Even if he's later determined to be wrong by a higher court, this creates an "estoppel" argument that could prevent any later prosecution of state or local officials -- "Judge Carter told us it was ok."
I said this last week.
My concern for a while is that DOJ, being understaffed, doesn't have enough EXPERIENCED TRIAL LAYWERS working for it who can "see around the corner" to understand how what they do today might impact what they might want to do in 3 months.

Before we give NYT too much credit, @MarkHalperin, they knew much of this in May and they wait to print it after 1/4 of the vote has been received and more is already in transit.
To state the obvious: If the @nytimes *only* wrote stories to help Democrats, they wouldn’t have written this one. My guess is they just guaranteed @DanSullivan_AK re-election. And they devoted a lot of investigative resources to do it.

🚨This is going to be the biggest self-own by Hennipin County of all time (and Hennepin has owned itself a lot lately). They do NOT want more attention on their ridiculous voter vouching policy by the @TheJusticeDept and potential voter fraud.
FACT: Hennepin County is charging James O'Keefe and Cam Higby with unlawful voting - but they didn't even vote! In fact, in her press conference, Mary Moriarty says it's clear they didn't intend to vote.
FACT: James and Cam exposed the absurdity of the state's vouching policy in which one individual, without an ID, can claim to be a registered voter, and bring in 8 other people without IDs, on Election Day, and "vouch" for them as legal voters. It's all on an honor system and votes are automatically counted. These are not provisional ballots.
FACT: They didn't sign the oath, which means legally they didn't commit identity theft. It was an act of pure journalism.
How many individuals who have voted based on someone else vouching for them has Hennepin County investigated for voter fraud? (The internet says ZERO.)
This is clearly designed to chill free speech and stop any further acts of independent journalism exposing the absurdity that is Minnesota's voter vouching system. And of course they timed this for just days before the midterm.

DOJ has now followed through with its "proof of concept" for the benefit of Judge Carter in Los Angeles.
Three non-citizens were indicted today by DOJ for unlawfully voting in 2020, 2022, and/or 2024, as well as for falsely claiming to be U.S. citizens.
All three were among the 20,000 names given by DOJ to California.
Judge Carter in Los Angeles essentially "dared" DOJ to do so during yesterday's hearing when he suggested that the appropriate way to deal with illegal voting is to charge those individual with a crime.
For Judge Carter and the Democrats that seems to be a small price to pay -- particularly when it only comes after the vote has been cast and counted.
Many Grand Juries in federal districts meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I expect more of the same tomorrow -- maybe in even greater numbers.
This is how California wants to play this.

Your analysis is highly flawed. Just some quick points from someone who is close to what's happening in Brazil.
1. Your turnout claim doesn't match up to reality. There were very high levels of public support for Flavio on the streets leading up to the election. Lula's public support was weak by comparison during the same period. And the people I talk to down there were reporting that translated to high turnout yesterday. Lula did not beat Bolsonaro through turnout.
2. Brazilians are required to vote by law when of voting age. Turnout is still important, but that dynamic isn't the same in Brazil as in most Western democracies.
3. People in Brazil know what's going on in Argentina and want the same thing in spite of the fact that the two countries aren't great friends.
4. The dynamic of older voters didn't suddenly change since the first round of voting earlier in the month in a country where eligible citizens are required to vote.
5. The TSE's order was not authorized. The 11 judges on the panel didn't require it. One judge in rogue fashion put the order out right at the time the polls were closing, and many had already closed. The computer election machines once closed cannot be reopened. So a large number of voting locations weren't taking votes for two hours.
6. The massive rallies on the streets for the entire three weeks after the first round argue against your claim that Flavio Bolsonaro wasn't "convincing enough.
I'm very close to many of the key players there. Everything that happened is clearly suspect. The numbers themselves argue for that. The way things played out only enhances the concerns.
