Why is that?
That shit is weird and disingenuous in so many ways because if the supposed diaspora all came from Africa then why not africanize everybody else the same way?
Why only africanize Black Americans?
Mind you, these same Black people that do and say this shit will NEVER africanize all of the other ethnic groups in the so-called diaspora when it comes to Jamaicans claiming their cultural contributions to their nation state, nor will they ever do that with any other Black group
As soon as we show some sort of cultural or lineage specific pride in something a BLACK AMERICAN did or created, ngaz instantly wanna throw Africa in the mix like "Yeah y'all made jazz and funk music BUT that came from their AFRICAN roots."
