Hegseth was a volunteer instructor in an ISAF non-combat role. As he sat in a classroom many coalition soldiers lost their lives in supporting America after 9/11. 1/3 of all fatalities were non US and many many more have had to live with life changing injuries. Shame on Hegseth.
I was also a Captain in Afghanistan in the dismounted close combat role. I never got time off to go to Kabul HQ.
