We are greatly saddened beyond belief to announce the death of our spiritual leader Sir Ronald Halstead CBE, a scion of business, who served us as Chairman for over 20 years, then President, then Patron. He was one of a kind **thank you Ron from the bottom of our hearts**

So true...
Wine salesmen and women: the unsung heroes of an industry that likes to fool itself that good wine sells itself. But what makes a *good* salesperson? wine-business-international.…

President Trump just now: "When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total." Fact Check: That is definitely not true.

By comparison the US seems to be running at nearly 30% infection rate (positives/tests). Suggests true US infection rate possibly 10x what's been confirmed so far?
Other comparisons... S Korea 196k tests, 7.3k positives (3.7% infection rate; UK 23k tests, 319 positives (1.4%)
How many Americans have Coronavirus? Number of Americans tested: <2000 (source: The Atlantic, 6 Mar). Number of positives: 545+ (NY Times, March 9). Italy: 42k tests, 6k positives as of the same date.

Agree completely Sarah. HMG have clearly assumed we're all stupid and can't add up. Other govt assumptions from the past week: 1. laws don't apply to HMG if it doesn't like them; 2. UK citizens can't tell the difference between lies and facts; 3. Optimistic waffle = policy
Disingenuous & facile - yes, you’ll save couple of £ on duty, but on vastly reduced quantities. Touting a few bottles of duty free vino as a dividend of hugely destructive no-deal Brexit is the height of deceit & irresponsibilty FROM GOVERNMENT. Who is sanctioning this content?

Huge thank you to my brave and thoughtful panellists Antonio Amorim @amorim and Paul Willgoss @marksandspencer . Keep messages simple, do a few things really well, recognise that product quality matters just as much even in a ‘sustainable’ setting @CCL_Porto2018 @WineIntell
