My honest reaction to this entire overblown drama:
My intended meaning was that Tifa would never hold back in a serious fight, while Aerith would probably find a way to avoid ending up in that kind of situation in the first place.I certainly didn't mean to imply that Tifa is violent.Some of the nuance from the original conversation is understandably lost in a written interview, so I just wanted to add a bit of clarification.

Tbh I’ve really wanted to play Dissidia, but the main thing holding me back from it is just how much I hate Cloud’s portrayal in those games. They took a sassy and aloof yet funny and compassionate multi-layered character and boiled him down to sad boy. Like what the hell.
Ok, so them skipping straight to the Northern Crater confirms, to me at least, that some events will happen in a different order than they did in the og. Like, Icicle Inn and the Great Glacier will be happening AFTER the Northern Crater as opposed to before.
I played Final Fantasy VII Revelation Opening section demo at Tokyo Game Show and it’s AMAZING!
- Demo is the opening section so no openworld exploration or Highwind
- 20-30 minute demo
- Team are searching for Sephiroth and following the robed zombie like guys
- Playing on PS5 Pro and the Graphics look great
- Cid and Vincent combat feels amazing!
- Cid Jump ability is so good
- Vincent gunner and Beast modes feel very satisfying
- Opening is like Rebirths opening
- You go up a mountain fighting enemies and reach a few bosses.
- First boss is a big titan like enemy
- Main boss is a big Jenova type mutation enemy called “Terra Inferna”
- Cloud is starting to lose it and having flashbacks a lot.
- Sephiroth is messing with Cloud’s head
- Sephiroth is talking about Cloud’s number
- Cloud doesn’t remember his number
- Tells Tifa but hiding it from the others
- Climbing handles for mountain sides return
- Bench’s and vending machines return
- Pause menu has cool new scenes
- More thoughts later but initial impressions it is very good! Short demo but I can’t wait to play more.
And then I remembered, during the Gamescom demo, we see that the group isn’t hunting for the Huge Materia yet when they usually would be at this point. So this tells me we probably won’t start the huge materia hunt until AFTER we get Cloud and Tifa back in the party.
