I am writing to you from Australia to express my strong support for your recently announced plans to permit a public livestream of the upcoming execution of Nidal Hasan.
While political leaders over here, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and various media outlets have publicly condemned the decision to broadcast the proceeding, I want to reassure you that their views do not represent everyone in Australia. There is a substantial portion of the population here that agrees with your perspective that serious actions must carry transparent and visible consequences, particularly when it involves a terrorist attack that took the lives of American service members.
Thank you for your firm stance on this matter and your dedication to the families of the victims and the veterans who served.

Britain's biggest nursing union has ended its commercial relationship with Israeli pharmaceutical company Teva following pressure from pro-Palestinian healthcare campaigners.
The Royal College of Nursing, which represents more than 500,000 nurses, has dropped Teva UK as a commercial partner and removed it as sponsor of an upcoming nursing leadership event.
RCN chair Carmel O'Boyle said further checks identified Teva Pharmaceuticals operations that had faced legal sanctions and public scrutiny which were "not in line" with the organisation's values.
