Anyone blocked by this lady should complain to ethics committee. Nothing will be done unless there r many complaints.

@EmilyAssembly has now shut off responses to her posts. Don’t worry fans, she is probably @tacobell rallying the vote for @GovKathyHochul while having a bunch of gorditas and a Big Gulp of @CocaCola.

No one before me has EVER brought HPD, DOB, DSS, DOF, DEP, & National Grid all in one room.
I’m here to ensure landlords get their crap together & work together for the common good of making NYC feel like home again.
I’ve been called greedy, slum lord, clout chaser, “useless a**hole”, but I’ve never been called a liar.
I get things done.
They talk.
You decide who you unite with.

This version of COPA is far narrower than the original proposal. It still fails to address why these buildings fall into distress in the first place.
Nonprofit "community-run" housing pays no property taxes and gets favorable financing. Right now, it's going bankrupt across the city.
The assumption is that buildings fall into distress because of poor management. That may hold when rents cover costs. It doesn't when they don't.
These buildings are time bombs. The city is picking them up and handing them to renters. Those renters will no doubt face conditions as bad or worse, massive rent increases down the road, or both.
Changing the owner doesn't change the math. Only lowering costs and making sure renters can afford their housing does.
Mamdani-backed housing bill will give nonprofits head start on buying NYC apartments

More Perfect Union should hire a contractor and offer to bring landlords' vacant rent-stabilized units up to code for $30,000. If the true cost is really $25,000, it would profit $5K/unit. But it won't, because its claim is fiction. It would lose money hand over fist.
Good evening. After 13 years of inadequate rent increases, coupled with skyrocketing insurance and property taxes, please explain how anyone would have money to invest in their properties.

This you?
In a twisted authoritarian spectacle, federal agents raided Ilhan Omar's home this morning.
Trump has made no secret of his disdain for the Congresswoman – frequently using racist, tyrannical drivel to express an unhinged desire to expel her from the country. His dangerous language has endangered her personal safety for years. Now, weaponizing law enforcement for blatant political intimidation – weeks before an election he knows he’s losing – is an appalling, desperate abuse of power.
This is the behavior of a dictator. All elected officials must full-throatedly condemn this lawless act of intimidation. I stand with @IlhanMN.

Letitia James has some explaining to do.
My investigation uncovered $5,191.68 in campaign payments to a Martha’s Vineyard transportation company in 2024. The Albany Times Union subsequently reported another $5,798 in 2025.
Nearly $11,000 to the same transportation provider over two years.
Where are the invoices? Who were the passengers? What campaign business required that much transportation?
James demands accountability from everybody else. Let’s see her provide the same transparency when the questions concern her own campaign spending.
The records don’t disappear because she doesn’t like who’s asking.

A community together, not by politics, party labels, campaign promises, donors, lobbyists, real estate moguls, insiders, clubs, or millionaire electeds, but only our voices being heard, respected, and represented that is what our campaign is only about. #PeopleOverPolitics
G evening. Since these private owners will be getting a salary decrease each year because their expenses aren’t frozen, will you volunteer to take a salary decrease as well?

There is a serious antisemitism problem on the American left.
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism.
Together, we will ensure Jewish New Yorkers are safe and celebrated. We will invest in their protection, their history, and their future.
Our safety and our thriving are tied together.

If capping the rents of decrepit apartments results in perpetual vacancy, it only makes the housing crisis worse. It’s like letting meat spoil during a famine, then offering it to soup kitchens at a discount. therealdeal.com/new-york/202…
