Do well enough and hardware you design will be running on our lines
✨ New HW challenge prize We designed a simple harness testing PCB and wrote some firmware for it. Unfortunately, this board was designed on a Monday morning. Find as many bugs as you can. First submission with a score >21 gets $1000.

35kV struggles a bit with a dense automotive PCB (think 8L?), but 4L looks usable. the sensor also has some blooming in regions it's overexposed, will have to look into some cleverer frame stacking or something to fix this

opus 4.6 got the big sensor working too, and oneshotted a GUI for it too. 2400x2400 12-bit at 15.5MHz pixels read out by a teensy. if this isn't AGI then I don't know what is

so many myths in EE
you can just do things. signal integrity is a myth propagated by wire companies.

I have a confession to make. I have pure disdain for bloated, inefficient, bureaucratic, badly managed processes or products of any kind. By default, that makes me sneer at 99% of enterprise software, or corporate "vendor onboarding", or vendors who think taking a month to quote is normal and acceptable. If your company is impedance-matched to paper mail, then your company needs to modernize or die.

Bought a DeWalt Flexvolt tool without realizing how expensive the batteries are. However, AliExpress to the rescue! Turns out you can get battery kits that include literally everything except for the 18650 cells for an insanely low price.

Quality looks great! Decided to go with new-ish Sony VTC6 cells, which would give the batteries a total of 173Wh with 35A continuous current capability (at 56V), better than the original DeWalt.

Needs some spot welding and soldering skils, but in the end the batteries are about half-price, even with the better cells.
