You’re a licensed medical lab scientist. That’s it. Calling yourself a chemical pathologist is pure title inflation. A chemical pathologist is a medical doctor who interprets, advises, and takes diagnostic responsibility. You run the assays.
The way you’re grafting a physician’s title onto your MLS license just screams that you’re uncomfortable with what you actually studied. It’s that schooler habit of assuming a title you don’t hold because the real one doesn’t feel big enough. Shameful, really. The hosting by night doesn’t fix the misrepresentation by day.

How many hospitals in Nigeria can assemble a surgical team within 30 minutes at 2 a.m. to manage a life threatening stab wound to the neck?
Such an emergency may require immediate resuscitation, experienced surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre nurses, blood transfusion services and a functional operating theatre.
While healthcare workers must remain accountable for the quality of care they provide, we must also acknowledge the challenges of inadequate manpower, infrastructure and emergency preparedness.
Improving emergency care requires investment, better organisation, training and accountability at every level.
We need to move beyond blaming individuals and focus on building systems that can save lives, 24 hours a day.

I wished we had more health tech sessions or more time for this. But even judging from absence of enough health tech products at the exhibition stand, health tech conversations are understandably not mainstream enough.

The person taking orders at the boba tea stand didn’t seem to like me. But I cannot complain because it was free and I really needed something cold.
