But here’s where it gets much worse for you, comrade. The chart conveniently leaves out many of the Islamist terror events that happened from the late 1970’s up to 9/11! Cato’s own methodology lumps white supremacist, anti government, anti abortion, & random white killers in the “right” bucket and black nationalist, anti police, environmentalist, & communist killers in the “left” bucket. That is not a clear “Republicans vs. Democrats” argument. By its own rationalization A large share of the right side total comes down to just one 1995 anti-government attack, not a steady stream of mainstream conservative violence. Your BS chart also counts only deaths. It does not capture the scale of 2020 era leftist unrest which caused dozens of deaths, thousands of officers injured, AND over a billion in damage!!! Not to mention the pattern of high profile attacks & assassination attempts directed at right leaning targets.
