Check out this product that my friends built: shoyu.cc — great for teams that often need screen recording to show features or documentation. You can let your agents drive it too. It’s pretty fresh but feels polished and has tons of neat features like apps context.

I was delighted to find the feedback widget in @AmpCode Portals a few days ago (it’s awesome!), then the team shipped this today. So good. Makes iterating a breeze.
You can now embed a feedback widget on your website to send work to Amp directly from there! ampcode.com/news/close-the-l…

You may not get to play in front of the entire world, but you can get the tones that were used on the world’s craziest stage thanks to this week’s Staff Picks: Gojira Tones 🐋 Tones hotter than magma itself, you know what you're in for. We want to see you cover your favourite Gojira riff or breakdown, tell us which preset you used! 👇 Check out those tones at cloud.neuraldsp.com/cloud @JohnConnearn

An example of why I’m not a fan of positional arguments. Too prone to accidents. Not just cli, but also functions.
i accidentally wiped out my sql server backup instead of taring it. I ran this tar -czvf sql.bak sql.tar.gz instead of this tar -czvf sql.tar.gz sql.bak :( good thing I had a backup of my bak.

Excel may be more powerful, but on the browser it’s really hostile to the user. Who thought hijacking browser shortcuts was a good idea?! I’ll stick with Google Sheets, thanks.

Microsoft turned around and made a lot of good tools and services in the past few years, it’s a shame they keep shoving Edge in everyone’s faces everywhere in really distasteful ways.

Terrible UX by @1Password. There’s a maintenance right now but the app is prompting me to sign in out of the blue. Attempts failed due to maintenance. Causes unnecessary stress and anxiety. Would have been much better if it shows/mentions the maintenance status somewhere.

Insane solo by @nunobettencourt! Great little tribute to EVH ❤️ This song made me realise how much I missed real rock! Can't wait for the rest of the album, @ExtremeBand! youtube.com/watch?v=iJ_AOIbj…

Not sure which is more difficult to do, finding a needle in a haystack, or finding the currently playing song in a list on Apple Music.

I meant in a tabular list of songs, I know it shows the current song at the top.

So will there be a desktop version of the Apple Music Classical app?

So, what are we meant to do to celebrate Labour Day? Do more labour? Seems to beat the purpose if you ask me.

Hey @SBSOnDemand how can I pay a subscription fee rather than unblock ads on my home network?

Definitely yuck. Google is also doing a similar yucky thing with their Gmail iOS app. This dialog pops up when opening a link every time the app is updated. The app remembers who I am so it clearly is capable of remembering, they obviously do this deliberately.
This is a big overstep by Microsoft imo They are injecting ads *into the Google Chrome download page* pushing their own browser 🫠 This should not be ok

TIL there’s a built-in speed test CLI app on macOS called `networkQuality`.

It’s terribly disappointing that the AU BOM is retiring weather.bom.gov.au (screenshot below) in favour of bom.gov.au 🤮
