Sean Payton not taking the 3 points to go up 2 scores is a crime when you have a backup QB in the AFC Championship game

Finally got the @Old_Barnwell @TheTreeFarmGolf and @FrenchLickGolf flags up on the wall as well as canvas prints I had made of photos I took at Pebble and Cypress.

Our host at a Christmas party we attended last night told me he liked to play a little golf. He was not kidding…

Old Barnwell (#47 in US, @top100golf). One of the best modern golf courses in the United States. Once you play links golf, you are always searching for firm and fast conditions, and OB obtains that spectacularly. Very quickly into my top 3 US courses played.

Best golf courses in DFW area?? Dialing up some requests on Thousand Greens, checking the Invited Club network and scanning the tee sheet at public tracks. One round. Go!

Pasatiempo was one of the first great golf courses I played, so I’ve always had an affinity for it. Even with so much recent praise (including now up to 110th in the world), I’ll still contend that this Alister MacKenzie design is underrated. A lovely spot to chase a ball.

PNW winter round at Chambers Bay is the best. Local rates, great drainage, no rain. Absolute A+ day.

Very special one today - Cal Club #26 in U.S. ; #45 in World Sneaking in some last minute golf! First time golfing out in SF and what a hard place to top Impeccable par 3 and 4 variety - this course thrives on firm and fast conditioning as its main defense. + a killer hang!

Bandon Trails Coore & Crenshaw - 2005 A wonderful routing that artfully winds through dunes, meadows, and the coastal forest. It doesn’t have the oceanfront holes that its sister courses do, but there are so many good holes that I didn’t even miss the views.

Autumn at Philadelphia Cricket Club is a beautiful thing. Whenever I think about moving to a place where I won’t have to suffer through snow and cold in the winter, days like this keep me here. The simple fact is that I love fall golf more than I hate winter.

Very special one today - Eastward Ho! #50 in U.S. What a way to end the season…40mph winds and I was grinning ear to ear the whole time. BV been hyping it up lately and they are correct - it’s seriously special. Par 3 & 4 variety is almost unmatched. It’s a must play.

Great one today - Baltusrol (Lower) #42 in U.S. ; #67 in World I’d describe this place as having fun par 5s. Steeped in history, I actually found this to be on the easier side from the tips of PGA championship venues I’ve played as of recent. What’d ya think of Baltusrol?

Pacific Dunes Tom Doak - 2001 The course, and the views, are spectacular. What will probably stick with me the most is the routing. I appreciate Doak’s willingness to be unorthodox (four Par 3s and three Par 5s on the back) in order to masterfully weave you around the property.

Maybe don’t put Scottie with a wet rag these Ryder Cup matches…

How do you describe what your score is mid-hole? FWIW, I think saying “lying X” is just a wild way to say it but I know it’s so common.
