It HAPPENED: JobBoardSearch just crossed 6 figures
$100K πΈ lifetime revenue
crazy to think it all started as an ugly static HTML website with barely a dozen niche job boards
if I had waited until it was "ready", I'd probably still be in my localhost
ship early
listen to users
improve every week
keep your expenses low
that's been my strategy
I still remember like today when @levelsio RTd the project and later out of the blue sent me a DM telling me I should charge job boards to submit and to rebrand, what an eye opener, for ever grateful
Also I'm never going to forget the first ever payment and sponsor (4dayweek job board) that after following Pieters advice I posted on here and minutes later @philostar got the gold sponsorship and they are still getting featured nowadays. Thanks!
It's impossible to mention everybody, THANKS A LOT to every job board founder who have made this possible ππ»ππ»ππ»
Remember: don't let anybody tell you it's not possible
keep learning
keep adapting
keep shipping
one thing I've learned along the way:
keep your expenses low and stay in the game long enough, IS POSSIBLE πͺπ»
On to the next milestone...

most of the growth didn't come from publishing more pages
it came from fixing the ones Google was already showing
I looked at queries in GSC with decent impressions but weak CTR, then rewrote the titles and meta descriptions to match the exact language people were searching
that single pass on existing pages outperformed most of the new content I published
right now SEO is less about volume and more about improving the pages that already get impressions
Anyone else seeing better results from optimizing existing pages than creating new ones?
BTW if you are sending bulk emails
make sure to check "Google Postmaster Tools" for your domain
is a free service provided by Gmail that helps high-volume email senders monitor and troubleshoot how their emails are received and processed by Gmail
β’ Spam Rate: Tracks how often your emails are marked as spam by Gmail users. Google requires bulk senders to keep their spam rate below 0.3% (and ideally under 0.1%).
β’ Sender & IP Reputation: Classifies your domain and sending IP reputation into groups ranging from High, Medium, Low, to Bad.
β’ Authentication Status: Shows the percentage of your messages passing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication and alignment checks.
β’ Encryption: Monitors whether your inbound and outbound email traffic is properly encrypted using TLS (Transport Security Layer).
β’ Compliance Status: Gives a pass/fail view of Gmail's sender requirements, unsubscribe handling, and feedback loops.
β’ Delivery Errors: Lists why your emails were rejected or temporarily failed (such as rate limits exceeded, low reputation, or blocked content)
Update: lauched it π
my own newsletter platform on top of Amazon SES
here's what changes
for job board founders π
β’ featured boards show up in every email, and now emails go out daily and right away too = way more exposure
β’ jobs from paid boards link straight to YOUR site
β’ I track clicks per board, so you get real numbers
for job seekers π
β’ jobs matched to YOUR skills and preferences (or your talent profile), not the same 40 for everyone
β’ choose how often: right away, daily, twice a week or weekly
β’ only new jobs, never the same job twice
β’ nothing new that matches you = no email. zero spam
β’ set up your preferences in 1 tap from the email
the nerdy part π€
β’ bounces & complaints come back from AWS in real time and get blocked automatically
β’ complaints = blocked forever. 3 soft bounces = treated as a hard bounce
β’ circuit breaker: if bounces go over 4% or complaints over 0.08%, the send pauses itself and pings me on Telegram
β’ one-click unsubscribe (the Gmail/Yahoo rule), honoured instantly
β’ sends at 80% of my SES limit, and a crash never means a double send
β’ security scanners that "click" every link are filtered out of the stats
β’ people inactive for months get one "still want this?" email, then stop getting it
β’ matching uses AI embeddings, the same engine as my Telegram job bot
no AWS SDK, just PHP + SQLite π€

I also jumped into the DARK side π€£
EO platform β $840/yr
Amazon SES β $120-150/yr
the bigger win: broadcasting feature. I've been waiting it since day 1 but they never built it
without it I can't dynamically generate emails based on job seeker preferences, which is not good and is costing me TIME
way more jobs will be included in the newsletter instead of the actual same "40 best job of the week" for all the 15k subscribers
already had my SES account approved for production
also got $1K grant from the Claude Startup program
I know one or two things about email deliverability (DKIM, DMARC, SPF, etc.)
so I think is the right choice
hope to launch next week :)

WOW it keeps growing...

still can't believe a tiny AI games directory is doing this from Google Search
the SEO updates are still paying off
but didnβt expect it to keep moving this fast
still figuring out the monetization side
After the quoted tweet⦠yeah, no brainer
migrated PropertyDescriptionAI's video generation onto @sumelabs
using the model Seedance 2.5 by @BytePlusGlobal now
(and updated the front-end UI)
Lower costs, same model. Obvious move!
As a builder in the AI video space, I was terrified about how much markup API providers charge for simply routing the models.
Higgsfield API adds a 40% markup even with its maximum advertised discount. Fal adds 100%. Runway adds 414% (Seedance 2 480p)
I might be hated by the industry, but : β¨
Today, weβre launching Sume API, the first image & video model provider with 0% markup.
For example with Seedance 2.5 1080p
β’ 50% cheaper than fal
β’ 50% cheaper than higgsfield api (29% even with biggest discount)
β’ 28.02% cheaper than kie ai
The routing infrastructure layer is never the moat. We believe that APIs should be commoditized, and the moats will be built at the application layer.
Check the pricing comparisons below, and see how the broken industry is saved.
I forgot something IMPORTANT
if you want to connect @openseo and Google Search Console...
1. Create a Google Cloud Console account
2. APIs & Services β Credentials β Create credentials β OAuth client ID
a. Application type: Web application
b. Authorized redirect URI: https://[YOUR_WORKER_OPENSEO_URL]/api/gsc/oauth/callback
- c. Save
Copy: Client ID & Client secret
4. Set the env vars:
a. GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID
b. GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET
c. BETTER_AUTH_SECRET (random 32 chars string)
6. Go to OpenSEO -> Project Settings -> Integrations
a. Choose property
b. Save
Now I've set up the AI Visbility feature of @openseo
(helps you choose questions to track and see whether AI answers mention your brand)
it's very easy:
1. get an @OpenRouter API key
2. set it to the env var OPENROUTER_API_KEY
3. deploy
and then you get:
> Prompt Research
> Prompt Explorer
> Prompt Tracking
- Prompts
- Competitors
- Citations

Just set my self hosted OpenSEO MCP too
soe EASY to do (screenshot 1):
Cloudflare -> Zero Trust -> Access controls -> Applications -> Edit OpenSEO app -> Additional settings -> OAuth
in it, enable:
1. Managed OAuth
2. Allow localhost clients
3. Allow loopback clients
thats it, now you have available https://[YOUR_WORKER_OPENSEO_URL]/mcp
then you copy the setup prompt, paste it to your AI Coding agent and log in
now you have the tools and skills ready to use (Screenshot 2)
then you can run /seo-coach, /seo-report /keyword-reaserch (and many more), everything gets stored in your app (screenshot 3)
and of course you can ask your agent to make code changes, update metas, titles, H1 based on the OpenSEO data
it's trully AMAZING!
π¨ CRITICAL PHP ADVISORY: Unauthenticated RCE affects all web-facing PHP installations (CVE-2026-109618 & CVE-2026-109619)
β οΈ WARNING: Temporary mitigations DO NOT fully secure your site, updating to patched releases (8.2.35+, 8.3.36+, 8.4.27+, 8.5.12+) or LTS vendor patches is the ONLY full solution
BUT stuck and can't update today?
Here are the official stopgaps ππ»
> Mitigating OOM Corruption (CVE-2026-109618):
1. Set memory_limit = -1 in server/FPM config (php_admin_value) so apps can't override it
2. Lower post_max_size (8M without uploads, 32M with uploads; keep upload_max_filesize lower)
3. Enforce request size & multipart limits at proxy/Nginx level
4. Use containers/cgroups as boundaries (avoid RLIMIT_AS/RLIMIT_DATA)
> Mitigating Stale State RCE (CVE-2026-109619):
1. session.upload_progress.enabled = 0 in php.ini & restart ALL workers
2. Remove invalid/deprecated configs throwing pre-init diagnostics
3. On PHP 8.5: set fatal_error_backtraces = 0
4. For EOL versions (PHP 7.4/8.0/8.1), check your LTS vendor or build using PHP's minimal source-backports
If missing anyone please reply with them...
We have posted more information about today's security releases, including the sequence of events that led to the discovery, how the PHP security team is improving their processes, and what we need from you to continue this critical work. #php #security thephp.foundation/blog/2026/β¦

a tiny direcotory of AI Built Games
Based on all the data I'm getting from GSC
I'm optiizing metas, titles, H1 and all SEO related stuff

Setting up @openseo as a @Cloudflare worker is next level π€―π€―π€―
now I can set an MCP so my coding agents can analyze SEO data before doing any changes
(Paying crazy money to ahref is not needed)
Very EASY to set up:
1. Fork & clone open-seo github repo
2. Log in to Cloudflare
3. Set up your API keys on .env.selfhost
4. Deploy
Costs:
- CloudFlare: $0
- OpenSEO: $0
- You only need to pay as you go for @dataforseo API which is cheap
for example: keyword research -> $0.05
Some helpful notes:
1. For the MCP to work is *mandatory* that you set the env var BETTER_AUTH_SECRET
(you can generate one with: openssl rand -base64 32)
2. To check your setup and errors you can do:
https://[YOUR_WORKER_OPENSEO_URL]/api/health
(This helped me to troubleshot why GSC wasn't connecting, here I got a detailed error report which I didn't get inside the app)

You do not need Ahrefs to do SEO research
I do keyword research
competitor analysis
backlinks
brand lookup
audits
without paying CRAZY money
how?
1. self-hosted OpenSEO (free)
2. @dataforseo API
same kind of research
pay per usage
not a fat monthly invoice
and it is enough
(no affiliate, just what I use for my projects)
do you still pay for Ahrefs or did you find a cheaper way to do the research?
Probably this one shouldn't be FREE, but I'm launching another free tool: "AI Search Ready Audit for Job Boards" π
More and more job seekers are asking ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude "find me remote nursing jobs in Germany" instead of Googling it
So the question for every niche job board founder is: can AI search actually see your jobs?
Most boards I checked have at least one silent blocker:
β robots.txt (or Cloudflare) quietly blocking OAI-SearchBot, the crawler behind ChatGPT search
β job pages with no JobPosting schema, or schema missing required fields
β jobs rendered by JavaScript, so crawlers get an empty page
β expired jobs still marked as open
β "Remote" jobs that never say WHERE you can work from
β broken apply links, wrong canonicals, messy sitemaps
The audit crawls a sample of your board (up to 25 pages, politely, respecting your robots.txt) and runs 42 checks across 6 areas:
1οΈβ£ AI crawler access (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Googlebot, Bingbotβ¦)
2οΈβ£ Job data & JobPosting structured data
3οΈβ£ Content quality & freshness
4οΈβ£ Niche authority & topical coverage
5οΈβ£ Discoverability (sitemaps, internal links, indexability)
You get:
β
A readiness score out of 100, with category breakdown
β
Every issue with evidence: the exact URLs and the exact rule that's failing
β
A prioritized "fix these first" list
β
Markdown & CSV reports to hand to your developer
No fluff, no fake numbers.
If something can't be tested, it says so instead of guessing.
And no, a high score doesn't guarantee ChatGPT will cite you (nobody can promise that), but a low score tells you exactly why it probably won't.
100% free. No login. Takes about a minute.
Built for niche job board founders. Tell me your score π
Run it on your job board π
