FINALLY, the media is waking up to the fact that the only way to stand up to Trump is refusing to cover him, thereby cutting off his oxygen. Now will it stop covering his rallies and "announcements"? nytimes.com/live/2026/09/21/…

Book Recommendation: Robert Boynton's The Invitation-Only Zone is the definitive account of North Korea's abduction program. It's about real state policy, not conspiracy. Japanese citizens (and others) snatched from their own coastlines, forced into guarded compounds built to look like exclusive enclaves instead of prisons, each assigned a personal minder controlling their entire life. Boynton follows Kaoru Hasuike and Yukiko Okudo, a couple taken together in 1978 and held for over two decades and traces exactly how Pyongyang's denial cracked in 1987 and finally broke with Kim Jong-il's 2002 admission. If you want to understand the machinery behind cases like David's, this is required reading. @rsboynton
