The Abstract team straight up had zero respect for our money or our time.
Let me be clear, around 2-3months ago, the team started doing 1 on 1 calls with some of the biggest voices in the Abstract community, after that, my timeline was suddenly full of people shilling Abstract, talking about how bullish the future was and how Phase 2 was basically around the corner, even just a few days ago, team members were still reassuring everyone about the future of the chain, and literally this Tuesday, they still distributed XP like nothing was happening.
And this is the part that pisses me off the most, i can accept a project failing, what i can’t accept is being played like a fucking idiot.
For TWO YEARS people have been grinding XP, spending money, minting shit, farming badges, using featured dApps, doing whatever the fuck the ecosystem asked them to do, and the whole time, through AMAs, interviews and team communications, we were told these XP would eventually turn into rewards, so why the fuck were you still pushing people to spend money and earn XP if you already knew the chain was basically on its way out within weeks/months?
Luckily, over the last year i focused more on Cambria and OCH and got pretty lucky there, but even after all that, i still lost $20k+ on Abstract, i minted NFTs, burned money for badges, used the featured dApps on the portal and did pretty much everything you could possibly do on the chain.
I can accept Abstract failing, i cannot accept the bullshit, the fake reassurance and the complete lack of respect for the people who actually supported this chain, you had every right to fail, you did NOT have the right to keep farming your own community’s time and money while knowing where this was heading.
After two years of support, the least you owed us was fucking honesty.

This data alone says a lot - not just about user activity, but about user behavior patterns and what truly drives volume in web3.
First, there's a clear takeaway here:
The @playcambria team's biggest strength (and what I like the most) is how quickly they iterate things until they find the right balance.
They first built Dungeons: a fun, risk/reward game mode with some skill, luck and a learning curve.
A few tweaks here and there resulted in a packed, fun, degen game mode.
But even then, volume capped around $50k - $100k daily. Good, but limited.
For small teams, it's better to focus on where the volume is, instead of trying to fight what the market wants.
Most users don't want deep gameplay - they want fast, low-effort gambling/money speculating.
Then they launched Fishing: a gamified, half-AFK gacha/gambling.
Volume +20x'ed.
The result was clear: Web3 still has way more gamblers/speculators than actual gamers.
Everyone already understands pure casinos - how they work and what to expect.
What separates Cambria fishing from casual casinos is simple:
It's under Cambria IP, which they spent years building.
There's obviously a pre-TGE effect, but compared to regular gachas/casinos, strong IPs can always add their extra verticals to keep running.
This could be Skins/Items/Cosmetics/Bragging rights, anything related to IP where people gamble even just to brag/for the love of game.
Who knows, maybe this also kicks off a new lane/meta - and we start seeing a lot more products like this under strong IPs, with Cambria leading the charge.
Finally, that's what makes me more bullish on $RSGP - their TGE.
Feels like it's coming at the right time as well. 🙌
