in an age of AI #gamedev, I want to see more of this: creative mechanics and visuals. It doesn't even matter if you're using AI to develop it or not, just make something new and original

Liking Opus5.5 a lot more that Opus5... Opus5 was constantly over engineering stuff, the explanations where too verbose and hard to follow... Opus5.5 seems a lot more focused, just does what it's told to do. Great improvement

I'm buying land and some sheep, maybe chickens. I'd add a couple tiny houses and rent them to tourists.
I'm sure many of us have thought about it. What's your backup AI-resistant job? I was thinking something manual, like electrician. My father suggested handyman.

Not everyone will remember it but there was a time when this was almost impossible to imagine. It seemed almost certain this man was going to die in Belmarsh or spend his remaining years in some hellhole in America. Never let hope die. A better world is possible. Anything can be.

I work remotely every day... expectation: working by the beach, working by the swimming pool... reality: being alone in a room all day long

made a little #dataviz project called "Bumpy Ride": I rode the bus today and tried drawing a series of straight lines on a piece of paper.. this is about 40 minutes worth of the bus ride and you can visualize how bumpy it was by how irregular the lines are πŸ™‚

making workers more productive increases demand for workers
so far at least, i'm pretty sure AI has been net job-creating. this was not what i expected--although i was much less pessimistic than others, i thought by this level of capability we'd have seen some impact. it is possible this direction keeps going!

I've found a solution to Portugal politics: lets copy Denmark. Left-wing pundits give Denmark as an example of successful socialist policies and right-wing pundits give it as an example of successful liberal policies. So both sides agree: lets do it like Denmark!

Yes. I talk to AI agents for several hours everyday at work, and to my wife only when both are home at the end of the day.
Do you talk to AI more than your gf/bf/wife/husband?

you cannot end world poverty by distributing money, governments have already tried that and it just results in higher prices. To end poverty you need to produce more, which drives prices down and allows people to actually have more goods and services
It’s not weird to y’all that not a single billionaire wants to end world poverty? Not even one rich person? It’s just β€œwhat they do with their money is up to them”? Yeah, sure- but it’s not WEIRD to you that not ONE single person wants to be a big hero and solve the world’s problems when they LITERALLY could? That’s not bizarre or suspicious?

here's what to do while your agent is writing code for you: don't waste time scrolling online, instead have a separate agent work on your side project. 😁

everyone is talking about how AI will replace workers, but no one is talking about how workers will use AI to replace their bosses
