Report to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr @ZelenskyyUa, on the work of Ukrainian teams in the Gulf region.
Over the past week, I visited the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. I held meetings with leadership of those countries and relevant institutions. Additionally, Ukrainian military specialists are operating in each of these countries under the coordination of the National Security and Defense Council.
The work is focused on two areas. The first is the use of Ukrainian technologies to counter aerial threats, in particular UAV attacks. The second is consultations with partners on assessing the security situation and preparing practical solutions for air defense based on Ukraine's experience.
Our teams conducted expert assessments of the protection of critical infrastructure facilities and developed concrete solutions. Expert recommendations are also being provided to improve the effectiveness of certain air defense systems.
Interception units have been deployed to protect civilian and critical infrastructure. Work is also underway to expand coverage areas.
Further steps for developing long-term security cooperation with each of these countries have also been defined.
Ukraine stands in defense of life and sovereignty alongside those who support us in preserving our independence. We seek to further strengthen security partnerships with our allies.
Today, we are starting another round of negotiations in a trilateral format — Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.
We thank the American side for its engagement and consistent work in the negotiation process. We are grateful to Switzerland for organizing the meeting and providing the necessary conditions for the discussions.
We have the frameworks approved by the President of Ukraine and a clear mandate. Security and humanitarian issues are on the agenda.
We are working constructively, focused and without excessive expectations. Our task is to maximally advance those solutions that can bring sustainable peace closer.
After the trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi, the negotiation process continued today in a working-group format.
Alongside me, the Ukrainian delegation included Kyrylo Budanov, Davyd Arakhamia, Serhii Kyslytsia, Andrii Hnatov, Vadym Skibitskyi, and Oleksandr Bevz.
On the U.S. side, the consultations were attended by Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, as well as Daniel Driscoll and General Alex Grynkewich. The Russian side was represented at a high military level.
The work was substantive and productive, focused on concrete steps and practical solutions.
We are preparing a report for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The representatives of Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, as well as NATO, the European Council, and the European Commission take part in the meetings.

We are working.
In Ankara, I met with Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, @HakanFidan.
We discussed the security situation, the course of the negotiation processes, and coordination of further steps. As always, special attention was given to the humanitarian track and the issue of returning our people.
Türkiye is an important partner of Ukraine and one of the key platforms for dialogue. We continue our work in close cooperation.
Following the meeting, I briefed the President of Ukraine on the outcomes.
During my visit to Türkiye, I held a working meeting with the Head of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın @ikalin1
We exchanged assessments of the security situation, discussed possible scenarios for further developments, and coordinated actions taking into account the dynamics of the negotiation processes and the regional environment. We also discussed the issue of the release of our prisoners of war, as well as the return of civilians and children illegally abducted by Russia.
We continue our systematic work within the existing formats of cooperation.
Had an important meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
We discussed further coordination of efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace and to prevent renewed russian aggression. Sweden remains a principled and reliable friend of Ukraine on these issues.
Together with our partners, we are working on solutions that will guarantee stability and security in Europe.
I began my visit to Sweden with a meeting with Minister of Defense Pål Jonson @PlJonson.
We discussed practical steps to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities, the development of defense cooperation, and countering modern security challenges, including russia’s hybrid threats.
I am grateful to Sweden and my friend Pål Jonson for their consistent financial and security support for Ukraine. This assistance is of strategic importance for our resilience and the security of the European continent.
Today in Brussels, I had a productive, hours-long meeting with national security advisers from Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Finland, the United Kingdom. There were also representatives of the EU and NATO.
I gave my colleagues a detailed update on the negotiations in Geneva and Florida, and on the next steps in the diplomatic process. It’s important that Europe stays an active part of this — both in achieving peace and in shaping the future security architecture.
We also focused separately on security guarantees. Together, we need to develop a security guarantees framework that is real and effective — for the long-term security of Ukraine and all of Europe.
We agreed to keep working closely, coordinating our positions to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
