The year Luka averaged 34/9/10 while leading DAL to 50 wins was when I realized he'd never win MVP. Voters had him 3rd (lol) bc they said he "didn't impact winning" then he went on to take his team further in the playoffs than any other candidate that season.
Draymond Green says Luka Doncic will NEVER win an MVP in the NBA
“Luka can go average 34 points a game, he can average 30 (points) 11 (assists) 8 (rebounds) and people gonna say ‘yeah we know, he’s supposed to do that.’”

After a 10-tackle, 2-sack performance that included eight tackles for loss, junior DL Atticus Richardson has been named the Dallas Morning News SportsDay Boys' Player of the Week.
Another well-earned honor for one of the Friars' defensive standouts. ⚫️⚪️

I think this speaks to a bigger problem with college football today. We’ve created a world where anything short of competing for a national championship is considered failure.
It wasn’t that long ago that you could have a great season without winning it all. Beat your rival. Compete for a conference championship. Win 10 or 11 games. Go win the Outback, Citrus, Sugar or Cotton Bowl and head into the offseason feeling pretty damn good about your program.
Now an 11-3 season gets dissected based on why you didn’t make the playoff or why your coach “can’t win the big one.”
That’s what we’ve lost. The national championship used to be the ultimate goal, but it wasn’t the only thing that gave a season meaning.
And the irony is we’ve sacrificed so much of what made college football unique for an expanded playoff system that still won’t eliminate arguments about who belongs. We’ll just argue about team No. 24 instead of team No. 4.
Conference championships should matter. Rivalries should matter. Bowl games should matter. A really good season should be allowed to simply be a really good season.
College football has a failure addiction. And it's sucking the joy from the sport.

Happy National Coaches Day to the men and women who lead, teach, inspire, and believe in our student-athletes every day.
From the practice field to the classroom and beyond, our coaches play an invaluable role in shaping the lives of our student-athletes and strengthening the Friar family.
