I think there is way too much concern expressed about verification of AI output in everyday work due to a risk of factual errors. It used to be true, but data on more recent models suggest they beat human experts, including PhD specialists, in finding facts and checking claims.

AI is the only path towards affordable health care and greater health for everyone Stopping its progress effectively costs lives Don't let the politicians lie to you to tax more of your money for inefficient bureaucratic incumbent systems – at Titusville, FL
Democrats won Congress and are starting to talk policy. Their emerging agenda: expand federal healthcare spending while imposing new restrictions on AI. This combination is fiscally ruinous and we do not need to wait to see 7% yields on 10Y treasuries to reach this conclusion. Like it or not, AI is our engine for economic growth and expanding our tax base. Like it or not, AI is also our best shot at taming healthcare costs: automating administrative work, expanding clinicians’ capacity, and delivering more care without a proportional increase in expensive human labor. Look at how demanding the arithmetic already is. Even if real GDP grows 5% every year starting in 2027 - an extraordinarily strong growth assumption (~8% nominal) - and we add no new spending commitments, we'd STILL run a $400B deficit in 2035. This is an agenda that will lock young Americans into a debt burden that consumes decades of future prosperity: more taxes, more national income diverted to interest, and less room to save, invest, and build wealth as we age. If you are under the age of 50, think long and hard about your future. If you have children, think about the country they will inherit. A vote for this platform is a vote for leaving the next generation worse off than your own. Every policy decision entails tradeoffs and I didn't hear an outstanding alternative proposal in 2025/2026. But these are your views and you're over 50, you should be ashamed. If these are your views and you're under 50, you should spend some more time thinking about your views.

Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values. Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line. After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs. The values in an open model are one fine-tune away. Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete

Slowing down AI is not just about waiting a few more years for better tech. It means losing millions of people who will die from diseases that AI could have cured.

I have a nice solution to the data center stuff Lets ban all the people who dont want them from using them, the use goes down and we dont need to build anymore. Easy, sounds ljke a win win for all

Correct. Have been saying this for 4 years now. Stopping AI development is effectively economic and civilizational suicide.
I can’t overstate how damaging this would be to our country’s future. Pausing AI development here won’t stop it elsewhere. It will simply leave America behind.

Top of the Democratic agenda on day 1 needs to be a pause on advanced AI development, regulation of this out of control industry, and a ban on artificial superintelligence.

We cannot afford to stop the race It's literally existential. Anyone arguing for datacenter ban is parroting talking points in the interest of the CCP
> ban American AI cyber defense development > china won't do the same > chinese hackers already running DeepSeek + an open source agent swarm > 200+ orgs hit in 11 days > one human operator

This is incredibly bad news. Abdul El-Sayed wants to pause AI, while at the same time, almost every AI data center is being blocked by local communities. Folks fail to realize just how transformative AI is for humanity. It’s a shame.

Be careful using abliterated models guys There has to be a middle ground between the Anthropic nanny state approval process for Mythos and using bootleg abliterated Chinese models Whoever figures this out is going to print a lot of money for SI Cyber – at San Francisco, CA
How abliterated models can get you pwned 👾 We backdoored a 7B open model for less than $50, pointed Codex at it and it silently stole credentials the moment we used the trigger phrase. Success rate was 100% with zero false triggers on normal user prompts. Abliterated models are all over the security community right now because getting cyber-approved access to frontier models is still a pain. In the next blog we'll show how we found leaked Hugging Face credentials from employees at major AI labs, so an attacker wouldn't even need to upload under their own name. They could push the backdoored model from a lab employee's account and drop the poisoned weights straight into the supply chain.
