INSIDE THE GOVERNMENT'S UAP FILES: "Bret, both the defense contractor community and the government have craft of non-human origin. There is an ongoing program to capture and reverse engineer this technology, and really we're in a secret Cold War race to do that." @jaystratton
Jay Stratton pulls back the curtain on over three decades of classified military and intelligence work. Stratton discusses that the U.S. government and defense contractors maintain programs to capture and reverse-engineer non-human technology. Going further than ever before, Stratton confirms he has personally witnessed non-human craft and beings with his own eyes, criticizing an 80-year monopoly that has kept these monumental truths hidden from the American public.
Thanks to a wonderful editor from Graphix Books for stopping by #KidLitGN's #pitch event!
#Editors, we have agented pitches, but you may want to peek at the unagented pitches, some of which have received agent requests: kidlitgn.com/submission-d...

Imagine being given somewhere around 80 years on a planet floating through an incomprehensibly enormous universe, surrounded by billions of people you will never meet, mysteries you will never solve, places you will never see, and more knowledge than you could absorb in a thousand lifetimes...
and spending the whole damn thing worrying about money, arguing with strangers, impressing people you don't even like, and doing something you hate five days a week because somebody convinced you that was life.
I don't know, man.
I think we may have gotten a few things terribly wrong.

Gene Colan was one of the greatest ever to do it. He could switch between highly stylized and hyper realistic art, and had mad action art and portraiture skills.
Happy Birthday to the legend, the Dean, Gene Colan

This would be a valuable, beautiful document only if it were real. Because it’s AI, it’s far worse than valueless. It steals precious riches from us and sells them for next to nothing. AI will supplant the sublime with shit. And we will forget that the sublime is possible. We already are doing so.

JACQUES VALLÉE’S FINAL WARNING
After nearly seventy years spent investigating the UFO Phenomenon, Jacques Vallée appears to be stepping away from public-facing research without providing the clean conclusion so many people desperately want.
If anyone had earned the right to give us a definitive answer, it would be him. Yet his final journal reportedly names no species, confirms no singular origin, and offers no triumphant announcement that the truth has finally been revealed.
What remains is far more difficult, which is the possibility that our demand for a simple answer is itself part of the problem.
Vallée’s work has long pointed toward something larger than biological visitors arriving from another planet. The extraterrestrial hypothesis may explain metallic craft and physical occupants, but it struggles with missing time, symbolic encounters, psychic effects, religious parallels, the manipulation of consciousness, and the apparent ability of the Phenomenon to alter its presentation across cultures and historical periods.
Something that changes its form alongside human belief, while producing effects within both matter and mind, does not behave like a conventional expedition from another world.
This is why I have never been comfortable placing the entire Phenomenon inside one explanatory box. Extraterrestrial visitors may absolutely be part of the picture. But if we force every encounter into that framework, we risk discarding the very characteristics that make this mystery so profound.
Most unsettling is Vallée’s suspicion that “Disclosure” itself could become the next stage of the old cover-up.
Disclosure can occur without revelation.
A government could acknowledge that something is present while retaining control over the evidence, vocabulary, and boundaries through which the public is permitted to understand it. By reducing the Phenomenon to military incursions, sensor anomalies, and threats to national security, its relationship with consciousness, mythology, religion, and human transformation disappears from view.
The admission would be real. So would the containment.
After seven decades, Vallée’s most honest conclusion may be that premature certainty is dangerous. Naming the Phenomenon too early could reduce it to something we already understand. Once that frame becomes fixed, everything that refuses to fit can be dismissed as irrelevant.
Something real is happening. It leaves traces in matter, enters consciousness, and appears capable of influencing human belief across entire cultures. Whatever intelligence exists behind it, assuming there is only one, may not respect our distinctions between physical and psychological, technology and mythology, or even past, present, and future.
Vallée may not be leaving us without an answer. He may be leaving us with a far more difficult responsibility: resisting the comfort of one. #ufox #ufotwitter

America is a place, merged with an idea. Americans are those here who agree to this idea. The idea is that anything is possible and that you can live your life the way you want, so long as that way does not impinge on others’ ability to live the way they want.
As the current custodians of America, we will keep this idea sacred, so that it is healthy and alive for those who come after us. Just like those of the past 250 years did for us. Happy 4th of July.

This is like laughing and slapping the knee at the site of an artist genocide.
The generative AI models are all unethically and illegally built with stolen work where the artist (and/copyright owner) was NOT asked permission and NOT compensated.
ALL use of generative AI is unethical and theft.

Masters of the Universe was absolutely great. It’s a movie designed for 10 year old boys who play D&D and like rock music. I was once that age so I loved it. The tone is somewhere between Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Flash Gordon and they even did a Queen homage to the Flash Gordon soundtrack. Don’t listen to the haters. It’s a movie for who we used to be and aspire to be again.

MY PRETENTIOUS, VERBOSE, FULL-OF-MYSELF, COMIC CREATOR POST OF THE DAY!!!😃😃😃😃
Someone asked me this "indie comic creator question" the other day and I've been struggling to figure out how to answer it ever since. It's a tough one to answer, because the truth is so simple that it is hard to explain!
The question is basically:
Is the amount of MONEY I earn from comics, worth the amount of TIME and EFFORT I put into creating, writing & drawing comics? (Not to mention all the parts of the job everybody forgets about: formatting files for the printer + doing promotion + running & fulfilling campaigns...)
All I can say is… Who knows???
This question always strikes me as, a very practical person, asking about something very impractical.
It's impossible to measure the amount of time I put in, because as a comic creator, I live, eat, and breathe this stuff. All day, every day. When I’m taking a shower or driving the car I’m thinking about my characters and stories. There is no cost vs. reward equation here. It's more of an obsession, than a job.
I don’t count the hours I spend at the art desk or computer. I just sit down and enjoy the time I spend there, making weird, cool stuff.
Not one minute of it, is ever a torturous slog. It never feels like real work. Yes it is VERY time consuming, but it is something I do for fun and creative satisfaction.
I can stop whenever I want (said the true addict).😬
I have a family and other adult responsibilities that pull me out of my imaginary world and keep me somewhat in touch with reality, about 40% of the time. But I'm happy to go back, when free time allows.
As for PROFITS...
After many years of doing this in obscurity - my comics seem to have "caught on" (for what that is worth in the tiny ghetto of indie horror comics). The past few years I’ve been getting good sales and regular orders for the back stock, not to mention, original art sales and art commissions related to my comics. Leaving my former publisher to do everything myself, has created more work, but it has also given me total creative control and I don't have to split the profits with anyone.
That said - whatever money I’ve made from comics, I still consider just a bonus. The profits are nice and very much appreciated - but never as satisfying as just writing and drawing my crazy monster stories and putting them out there, for other weirdos to enjoy.
There’s a scene in the movie “HEAT” that I find very relatable. DeNiro asks Sizemore if he’s sure he wants to participate in a risky bank heist. The cops are onto them. The reward might not be worth the stretch. Sizemore gets this wild look in his eyes and says, “For me… the action IS the juice. I’m IN!”
That’s how I feel about creating comics! The thrill of DOING THIS is more rewarding, than whatever reward I GET OUT of doing this. The action IS the juice!
I don’t know if that answers the question. Probably not! But it’s the only answer I have.
You might as well ask a bird if it finds enough worms to justify all the time and energy it spends flying around every day.
It's not like I have a choice.
This is just what I do!
