The only feature I want from @apple regarding #siri , "Siri, what was I thinking about before I tried to think about how best to word my query?"

Humbled. @anabjainjust spoke on how we might design for a disjunct future. An exercise in design pessimism mirroring of @uncorkedstudios talk on design in diplomacy that began with the proposition that as designers, we use design as an act of optimism, faith in a process #ixd18

As a gamer and a designer, it's been refreshing to see how much game design has been discussed at #ixda18 culminating in tonight's keynote talk from @haiyan on using sensors and game design friction to create healthy habits in young cystic fibrosis sufferers.

A short presentation at #ixda18 by @adamdunford has produced the most laughs, but also contained one of the most important lessons I’ve learned over the years working with clients and others new to design — analogies are sometimes key components to bridging communication gaps.

“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” @nicolasnova asking us to look back at forgotten tech through the lens of interaction design to gain insight we can use today #ixda18 fun talk, going to keep my eyes open for these opportunities now!

Lots of wonderful parallels in @haraken_tokyo talk at #IxD18 about usability in digital product design and the use of emptiness in Japanese design. Emptiness has both the possibility of being filled, but also allows for any type of individual to fill it.

Started the first day of #ixd18 with the "Father of Visual Basic" @MrAlanCooper and ending it with the author of "Designing Design" @haraken_tokyo What an incredible first day.

Interesting to see so many parallels in game design to @kollinz talk about how design friction (anti-UX) can sometimes improve UX #ixd18
4
“Pushing on the conventions of delivery to make for a richer experience.” #IXDA18 @mollylafferty some great thoughts from Molly that shook some of my perceptions of what I thought TV experiences were limited to

Didn’t get a chance to ask @latelier_cherch how you were handling all the likely spirited user feedback from all those lively young users of Do.doc?

Wonderful to hear @muppetaphrodite talk about the cost of #NUI in regards to time and processing power it requires of the user's brain, especially as the user is required to sit idle waiting for device response #ixda18
I have to give @Blizzard_Ent credit for @overwatchleague I'm sitting here on Friday night, after a very busy week at work, excited to sit down and watch the @DallasFuel game with my man @A_Seagull This, to me, solidifies what I think #esport can be.
