what is everyone’s best tips when u comes to writing fics. i often find myself giving up during the beginning stages of writing because i’m very hypercritical of my own work. it’s super discouraging and i was wondering if anyone had any ways they kind of just power thru it

You get to a point when it all just chills out, where you can crank out 5-15k words in a day because you’ve powered your brain off. Not to say all of that is GOOD writing. But you simply wrote what you thought fit at the time and it can always be adjusted later

sorry for typos my contacts r still out n i got auto correct off LMFAO. but idk. at the end of it writing is an art and a skill you have to earn it, and even when you think you’ve hit your peak you pick up a book, or read a poem and go β€œdamn. im still ass” and keep at it πŸŽ‰
