To you behind that PFP, I know life might not be going as planned. Maybe you're fighting battles nobody knows about, hiding your pain and emotions behind your screen, showing up every day, posting GM, engaging on the timeline, and still believing that one day, things will finally get better. My friend, I genuinely wish you well. Please stay strong. ❤️‍🩹 I know I'm not one of the biggest voices in CTNGN, but today, I really want to share something important. I haven't been active on the timeline for months. I've mostly just been dropping GM posts to keep my account alive. Some of you might not even care about my story, and that's okay. But I feel like someone out there might need to hear this. For the past few months, I've been struggling mentally, emotionally, and physically. What happened during that period left a wound in my heart that words can barely explain. My mum was seriously ill, lying helplessly in a hospital bed. I sat beside her, watching her suffer, feeling completely powerless. I had no money, no help, and nothing meaningful I could do beyond hoping and praying that she would recover. Just two days before everything happened, my mum and I had spoken. I never imagined that our next conversation would become something I'd spend the rest of my life wishing for. I sat beside her, waiting patiently to hear her voice again. She struggled to speak, but the words wouldn't come. I kept praying, hoping she would regain consciousness and come back to us. But unfortunately, she didn't make it. 💔 I found myself sitting helplessly beside my mother's lifeless body on that hospital bed. A moment I will never forget. I kept asking myself why. Why did this happen to us? Why did she have to leave so soon? What would happen to the younger ones she left behind? Who would take care of them? The pain was unbearable, and everything became even harder because all of this happened during the same week we were preparing for our school examinations. Imagine carrying the weight of losing your mother while trying to study, attend to your responsibilities, and pretend that everything is okay. I tried to keep going, but deep down, I was broken. I wasn't the same person anymore. During my clinical posting, I experienced moments when I felt completely alone. I cried in silence, carrying pain I didn't know how to explain to anyone. At my lowest point, I even struggled with thoughts of taking my own life. But by God's grace, I resisted those thoughts. 🙏🏽 I've been offline, dealing with everything privately. Many people had no idea what I was going through. I didn't know how to ask for help, and I didn't know how to explain the pain I was carrying. I'm still healing. I'm still trying to find my way back to myself. But there's something I want every person reading this to understand. You never really know what someone behind a PFP is going through. Someone who jokes on the timeline might be fighting depression. Someone who posts GM every morning might have cried themselves to sleep the night before. Someone who looks successful might be struggling to survive behind the scenes. So please, be kind to people. Check on your friends. Give people room to speak about their struggles without making them feel weak for having emotions. And if you're the person struggling right now, please don't suffer in silence. Reach out to someone you trust. Your life matters more than your portfolio, your engagement, your followers, or whatever you're trying to achieve. You don't have to figure everything out today. You don't have to pretend to be strong every single day. And you certainly don't have to face everything alone. 🫂 We've already lost too many people. Please, take care of your mental and physical health. Don't let your struggles convince you that your story has to end here. 👇👇
