Yurav Premlall’s season has to go down as one of the strangest in the history of the DP World Tour. Won his maiden title by a 14 shot margin and didn’t register a single other top-25 finish.

Now, @seancrocker11, that is how you do it. Big balls, minerals you could say. Very well done. You can buy me a bourbon when I next see you. 🥃

The matter of LIV players returning/being welcomed to the DP World Tour brilliantly summed up here…
Seeing others speculate on the topic, I had to throw my hat into the ring. I couldn't help myself. Free to read this one.. thechippingforecast.substack…

Amazing round from Katsuragawa today. 106th in the rankings coming in and needing a solid week to keep his full card. Now leading and projected at 27th. Meanwhile, a solid day from Crocker has him projected at 100th (nudging Eddie Pepperell to 101st) by the finest of margins.

I can’t recommend reading through the full list of domains strongly enough. Some truly incredible ones.
somebody around LIV bankruptcy case told me to look into the disclosures today on the domain names the league purchased. A sampling: casedocs.omniagentsolutions.…

Much like with Rahm, it feels like it was only a matter of time before this news came out. A notable return from a DP World Tour perspective.
Tyrrell Hatton the latest player (via Instagram) to confirm he is leaving LIV Golf. Hardly a surprise given he has tour status and his Ryder Cup position.

I have to say, some of the Liv players coming back to play DP is actually cool as some really good players, but hilarious how some of them slammed the tour for so long, not one good thing to say about it, now it’s the best thing since sliced bread and feels like coming home 🤔

Don't do many polls, but genuinely intrigued how people feel about this... Should the DP World Tour change the existing rules so that Ian Poulter (and others rejoining the tour post-LIV) can be a future Ryder Cup captain/vice-captain?

13 years old. Truly mind blowing!
The low round of the day came from Ojaswini Saraswat ... at 13 years old she shot a 69! The only round today in the 60s. And 10 shots better than on day 1. This is her first time playing DLF. She's a fast learner! The 2nd youngest player to make the cut on @LETgolf

The DPWT have done a great job with all the interviews this week with those fighting for their cards. Kudos to players like Pablo who’ve come up short for being willing to talk about it when they must be feeling crushed.

DLF causing carnage as ever on the LET. Defending champion Shannon Tan was leading by one a couple of hours ago. She's now seven shots back after shooting 43 on the front (her back) nine.

There’s good pace of play, and then there’s taking your head cover off your driver before you’ve walked off the previous green. Ryan Fox, ladies and gents.

After missing the cut in Korea, sadly Ross Fisher, Marcel Siem, and Pablo Larrazabal will be losing their cards. Three absolute stalwarts of the DP World Tour. Now we wait and see if they head to Q-School for another crack at it.

Statement: Louis Oosthuizen has confirmed that he will not re-sign with LIV Golf for its next chapter, choosing instead to return to the DP World Tour in January 2027 in what he describes as the hardest decision of his professional career. The 2010 Open Champion will step away from his playing role and captaincy at Southern Guards GC, the all-South African team he has led since LIV Golf's inception and one that remains deeply personal to him. "Five years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life, moving away from the traditional golf world and into something very special with LIV Golf and Southern Guards GC," said Oosthuizen. "I'm the biggest supporter of team golf and always will be. Golf needs more of it." Despite his strong belief in the team format, Oosthuizen believes a more flexible playing schedule will give him the best opportunity to compete at the level he still expects of himself. "I realised I have a lot more in me, and my biggest fear was that the schedule on LIV 2.0 would be tough to manage," he explained. "I feel I have a few more years of good, competitive golf left in me, and the only way to be really sharp and competitive is through a schedule I control." For Oosthuizen, the decision has been particularly difficult because of his connection to Southern Guards GC, his teammates and the people who have helped build the team. "Southern Guards is my team. It always has been and it always will be. That's what makes this so difficult," he said. "This is probably the hardest decision I've had to make in my career, but I have to do what I believe is right for my golf. It doesn't change how I feel about the team or the guys." The all-South African team has been a significant part of Oosthuizen's career over the past five seasons, bringing him together with longtime friends Charl Schwartzel, Branden Grace and Dean Burmester. One of the defining moments of that journey came in March 2026 when LIV Golf made its historic South African debut at Steyn City, where Southern Guards GC finished second in front of their home supporters, the team's best result of the season. Oosthuizen has previously described bringing LIV Golf to South Africa as one of the proudest achievements of his career. "Bringing LIV Golf to South Africa was one of the best things I've done in my career. It was for the people of South Africa, and I think it was a great success. That's the best thing that came out of this year." Reflecting on his time with the league, Oosthuizen expressed his gratitude to those who made the journey possible. "I'll always be grateful to PIF and LIV for what they did for me. I made new friends and got even closer to my current friends and family," he said. While Oosthuizen's immediate focus will be on returning to individual competition on the DP World Tour, he emphasised that Southern Guards GC will always hold a special place in his heart. Oosthuizen's next competitive appearance will be at the 65th Link Hong Kong Open, taking place from 22–25 October 2026 at the historic Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. He will then turn his attention to preparing for the 2027 season, with his return to the DP World Tour scheduled for January.

Well worth a read this. On the face of it, one may wonder why not play one more week and fight for your top-100 spot, but refreshingly honest of Eddie to acknowledge he didn’t have it in him and needed to reset. Feels like we’re hearing more and more accounts of burnout lately.
