I just got it in the mail and installed it on the wall, and it works great! (at least, it works well enough that I'm not going to go for v3, though there are a few more details I'd consider tinkering with)

Overall this was a success! It took a lot more time (and cost a bit more) than anything off the shelf, but you can't argue with the results! I feel like I've been bitten by the 3d printing bug now, so I just need to find a worthwhile next project 😇
