I almost certainly won’t vote Labor next March but this dichotomy is insane. A Metro will open on Friday, next year and in 2032. People in the outer-suburbs and regions deserve some $$$ too.

Less trains and the status quo is not a win for anyone. The government should duplicate Sutherland-Hurstville or at the very least build an extra platform at Wolli Creek so trains can run on the outer track

Minns is investing in rail? I’m shocked. Duplication b/w Sutherland and Hurstville will be transformational - not just for the South Coast but for the T4 line!! Will be costly with lots of earthworks through Janalli and Como but this is huge

Hearing some people on the TL unsure about $$$ on electrification from Kiama to Bomaderry but there’s 110k people that live in the Shoalhaven, this will allow these people to access rail and a later extension to over the river to Nowra

All the Illawarra MPs are now out celebrating that the reinstatement of Wolli Creek is some sort of “win”. But there is: - only 3 express trains in peak - *60 min* off-peak frequencies - No increased local services in Wollongong - No certainty on the full Mariyung roll out
