FLUX 3 is #1 on Physics-IQ, @GoogleDeepMind's benchmark for physical world understanding in video models. How Physics-IQ works: given the start of a real filmed experiment, can a model predict what physically happens next? Tests span fluid dynamics, optics, solid mechanics, magnetism and thermodynamics, covering how liquids flow, light behaves and objects interact. In most cases, we substantially outperform all other frontier models, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, Veo 3.1 and Sora 2, Cosmos3. The FLUX 3 base model outperforms all other foundation models, while FLUX 3 paired with a physics verification layer scores even higher. The FLUX 3 backbone, with its strong physics understanding, gives FLUX 3 Action it’s strong action prediction for robotics, while also giving FLUX 3 Video physically accurate motion when you’re creating content, making ads, films and product shots.

I am extremely excited to share that we will host a World Model research conference during #SFTechWeek Top list of speakers and panelists. Space is limited and registration requires approval. Can't make it in person? Comment below I will DM you zoom link

Whose job is it at @Google to come up with this stuff? And are they hiring?

50-60k submissions whatever whatever! Go touch grass y’all (or some rocks)!

It’s kind of funny how academics and industry folks spent years measuring candidates’ quality by their # of published papers, and now we’re seeing complaints about 50k+ submissions to @iclr_conf . You all encouraged people to optimize for exactly this metric!!

We hope to launch the Verification Age for video models: 50 scientists, 6 months, 100 rule-based verifiers, 300 new tasks, and a worked RL recipe. Coding models are advancing crazily thanks to the synthetic RL envs paradigms. Verification via codes or Lean gives models super-human math/coding intelligence like that in Astra and Fable. However, video models are still in the GPT-3 stage, where we just dump million hours video data into the model training and hope for magic. In this work, 1) we built 100 rule-based verifiers each paired with a synthetic data generators which give 10k+ diverse samples within the task domain 2) we made additional 300 tasks generators, including classic games i.e. Snake, Gold Miner, Mario, to further scale training data distribution with million samples rendered ready available on HuggingFace 3) ~60 experiments to find a worked RL recipe for video model post-training 4) comparison studies between image models, unified models, video models - which is the best model for visual thinking? 5) failure modes of how VLM-as-Judge will not satisfy video models RL in long term 6) interpretability studies show all image models, unified models, video models emerged "Schrödinger Effect", CoS reasoning through diffusion steps 7) many more insights A detailed thread [1/n]

Heading to @eccvconf in Malmö next week! 🇸🇪 I’ll be presenting VOID on Friday, September 11 — a project on video object and interaction deletion, and a step toward generation of physically plausible videos. Beyond the presentation, I’d love to meet people working on or interested in: 🎥 Video generation 🧠 Fine-grained video understanding ⚛️ Physical plausibility in video generation & understanding 🌍 World models / physically grounded scene understanding And, as always, happy to talk about things that have nothing to do with research too — coffee, running, hiking, or exploring Malmö are all good reasons to say hi. ☕️🏃 I’m also starting to think about what comes next, and will be looking for industry research positions starting in the second half of 2027. So if you’re building something interesting in this space, I’d love to chat. For those interested in PhD or postdoctoral positions at @INSAITinstitute, come find one of us at the INSAIT booth! And if you’re interested in internships at @NetflixResearch around video generation, video understanding, or related topics, come find me as well. See you in Malmö! 👋

Atlas understands both the spatial structure of the world and how it evolves over time. This lets us turn a handful of ordinary cameras into a "bullet time" multiview capture studio, capturing dynamic moments frozen in time.

Having access to verifiable evaluation signals is incredibly powerful. When you can reliably verify whether a result is correct, evaluation can become more than just measurement, it can become a scalable training signal. Check out VBVR-Pro! video-reason.com/?v=pro
💡Videos and images should not be treated merely as inputs to understand or outputs to render. They can be first-class substrates for problem solving beyond language. 🎉Introducing VBVR-Pro: an infrastructure suite for visual intelligence: trainable, verifiable, RL-optimizable, and experimentally controllable. 🔗Homepage: video-reason.com/

Hey @eccvconf, I was checking my poster printing link and saw that it was moved (probably by accident given many people were editing the file!). Will there be some sort of confirmation from the printing service before the conference so we can be sure the posters have been printed properly?

Back in 2024 when we created the Physics-IQ benchmark (physics-iq.github.io), we were wondering how long it would take for video models to solve all the scenarios we had! So cool to see how some tasks are already being generated so well by models like @bfl_ai’s flux 3!

But it’s also nice to see that some of our scenarios remain challenging for models this great!
