my advisor asked to check the BMS annual scientific meeting website and see if I can attend it and submit abstracts from my thesis w ophiocordyceps (today is the deadline)…but the website is down 💀

I’m feeling very grateful to be learn so much about entomopathogenic fungi and to be trusted to conduct a new project, that will be my postdoc, even though I still have I lot to learn and grow in this area 🍄🟫🦗
this week was pivotal to see myself doing what are like in science, to feel appreciated by my advisor and colleagues and to make sure that I have a guaranteed future after the doctorate in the INCT (which I was REALLY worried about it). good news coming soon! 🧡🍄🟫

a specific mycoparasite for O. humbertii s.l. (same morphotype collected in different regions of brazillian atlantic forest)…glad to have some of my friends involved in the description (that will be coming really soon!)
an old friend (from graduation) told me that I have a different glow since I started working with fungi in my phd 🥹(never worked with fungi before)

Happy to share a new sp of Zombie Spider fungus! Gibellula attenboroughii, a cave spider parasite, named after one of my major inspirations to work with natural sciences, sir David Attenborough!

Amazed with these citrus blackflies infected by hypocrella/aschersonia. My goal is to describe cryptic species of fungi within this new system. ☺️
