I wrote this after reading about a mother who killed her young children, and then herself, less than 24 hours after talking with a mental health professional who'd asked her if she had thoughts of harming herself. She'd said no.

Yes, worth paying extra for 1st & 2nd editions. The sense of the author(s) grappling to clarify psychopathology & noticing, as you read, how concepts have evolved is highly educational and intriguing. Open at any page for a new adventure.

A younger colleague's report of persistent symptoms after a mild bout with Covid-19 alerted me to the growing number of people with persistent neuro and other symptoms. A good reason for people who may have dismissed their risk to put those masks back on. abc7chicago.com/health/covid…

What to do about the pandemic and the economy? Opinions abound: speculative, hypothetical, scientific, publicity seeking, some really want to help. But we did all the experiments already. Results: Red, Yellow, Green Zones. Look. Results are available pointing to the way to act.

Police as an external force is not sustainable.
Policing of a community must be done by members of a community.

Unfortunate that it took a pandemic for people to realize that our mental health system is "vastly underfunded, fragmented and difficult to access." Now can we find the motivation to fix that? washingtonpost.com/health/20…

This is a a very obvious point and has been obvious from the beginning but as the global picture fills in over time, there is *absolutely* no fricking way China only had 3300 fatalities from this virus.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATTHEW!
Excited to share this story with you at 5. Matthew Brace's mother needed to cancel his 17th birthday party, which is today. The boy living with autism loves police cars and fire trucks.
Mom called Bethel Park police on a whim, and boy did they respond.
