“I don’t think any EVM chain can get within 10% of our performance.”
A while back, we decided to downstream revm into our own RISE VM implementation for better API control, specifically for better cache management and Parallel EVM "build-up".
Along the way, we also realized how non-optimal upstream was, and after some register optimizations, op-code fusions, smart inlining and caching (thanks to gigatons of @risextrade data to analyze),
Our early RISE VM adaption has been consistently processing @risechain blocks 2x faster than revm!
As we push for even more aggressive optimizations, and build up Parallel EVM on top of this tight core, I don't think any EVM chain can get within 10% of our performance.
Towards 1000 on-chain orderbooks!?

I will forever regret not introducing my brother-in-law to the 7-Eleven CEO at my wedding, when they were only a table apart.
He’s a huge 7-Eleven fan, and even chooses where he lives based on proximity to 7-Eleven.
All the seating chart curation I did to put potential business partners and potential romantic interests next to each other; and I overlooked the most important one!
Someone on board said my 中文 was good.
happy to host an amazing crowd onboard to sail into the sunset and take a breather away from the hustle and chaos of TOKEN2049
hosting yacht events is never easy, as you can't over-invite, everyone has to be on time, and you're asking busy people to take 2–3 hours out of their schedules to sail out into the ocean just to catch a sunset
but when done right, it's easily one of the best experiences for building genuine connections
a highly curated, high-trust environment where everyone is on the same boat for hours, with barely any internet connection and nothing to distract them from being fully present in conversations
watching the sunset, singing karaoke, sipping wine, and having genuine conversations without the constant noise and distractions of the city
sometimes the best networking happens when you stop chasing contacts, slow down, and simply enjoy the company of great minds
glad everyone had a great time, and hopefully i can make this a yearly tradition with a bigger and fancier yacht each year
had an incredible mix of builders from Starknet Fdn, Sei Fdn, GSR, OKX dex, Amber Group, RiseX, 0xMedia, DefiLlama, a few DeFi protocols, and some of the best traders in the space onboard
cheers to more sunsets together, genuine connections, and unforgettable moments with great people 🥂
One of our top traders on RISEx @0xHOMEWORK gifted me some Hyperliquid plushies and I thought it was so cute. 🫶
Last year, it was the crypto girls who went viral for thirst traps, racking up millions of views.
This year, it’s the crypto guys’ turn to post the thirst traps.
Seeing them all over my feed, not sure if the trend was started by @joostienXD or @cz_binance.
Loved this one.
Our private gathering was great, now on to the next.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at this long table

I would just jump off the boat and swim to shore. 😎
But interestingly, I closed one of my biggest deals at a side event on a boat.
Important tips to survive token 2049:
1) never attend the conference itself - super boring and most of the speakers are v self-indulgent so you can hear the same thing for free in their endless podcast appearances
2) if a side event has a Luma invite then it's probably not worth going to
3) if a side event is at Marquee or Avenue, assume it will have 10x the max capacity turn up (mostly non-crypto people looking for a free drink) and plan to just stand outside for 3 hours
4) never go to Yishun...it's known for random cat murders but they would likely do the same to tourists
5) don't post commentary and pictures of hawker food as if you've found some hidden eating gem...you are an NPC conference attendee, not Anthony Bourdain
6) similarly don't post pictures of KOMA or other MBS shit and make reference to your fine dining experience, unless you want to dox yourself as having the same taste level as a first year student taking his mid-Sinkie gf out for her birthday dinner
7) never go to Mandala club - many people will tell you it's cool, but then you'll realise they are also members and much like memecoin bag holders are stuck in a perpetual hell of having to convince everyone (including themselves) that it's good
8) if you are out late at night and someone suggests 'let's go to Brix' - that someone is likely a sex offender...make your excuses and leave
9) never attend a party on a boat - it's like a normal party except there is no exit. You are stuck talking to people until it gets back to shore, which is often 3 hours too long
10) if you want to do some non-crypto things, don't do tourist stuff and instead go hike around MacRitchie or Bukit Timah...they're much nicer than the city centre
