On the same day CPD cuts off the media's ability to cover active public safety incidents in the city by fully encrypting radio traffic, they have the arrogance to ask the media to cover a graduation.
Police were chasing a motorcycle, the rider abandoned the motorcycle on private property, and now the police are sticking the property owner with needing to have the motorcycle towed off the property. And the rider got away.
Multiple people were shot in several incidents throughout the greater Cincinnati area overnight. As of right now police have only released information from one incident. (1/2)
While at the same time jamming every other cellphone in the area, including those of employees working in or near the prison who may need those cellphones for official business.

Has @Local12 address all the background noise on air yet?
I loved the toss to weather, "nice and dry today, outside".
They should have jumped on this as it was happening. Unusual occurrences right in front of your cameras is always worth blowing out a few packages you got off a feed!
Instead of continually asking dispatch for updates, why hasn't the @CincyFireEMS district chief formed a unified command with a @CincyPD supervisor?

Just realized the helicopter that crashed in LA yesterday was the old KCRA helicopter while I was working on the assignment desk, N358TV.
As someone who sent that aircraft out many times many years ago, I feel for the assignment editor at KNBC who sent it out yesterday.
There has been a crash eastbound I-275 on the Combs-Hehl Bridge every day this week. I truly don't understand how this keeps happening, the road is a straight decline with clear visibility for a considerable distance. This would make a good sweeps piece for someone. #CincyTraffic
This all started several years ago during, and continues after, the construction project to widen the bridge.
How many crashes have there been?
How many people have been injured/killed?
What time of day do they happen?
How much property damage has occurred?
How much emergency services time has been used?
How long have the traffic backups lasted?
What's being done to prevent them?
CPD did it again.
They already had a perimeter setup and they expand the perimeter only after the media arrives.
@SeanMacKinnonTV if you'd be willing to testify in my upcoming civil trial against CPD please reach out.
This shit has to stop.
Would we know this incident happened at all if radio traffic was fully encrypted?
"Police did not provide further specifics on the abduction... scanner traffic suggests that officers were investigating a kidnapping from... Mercy West Hospital shortly before the chase began."
The Cincinnati Police Department says that a suspect led officers on a chase through several West Side neighborhoods on Saturday afternoon, culminating in shots being fired by police. wlwt.com/article/large-polic…
