The @ScotParl will likely once again ignore International Men's Day. It has done so in previous years. 'Our theme for 2025 is "Celebrating Men and Boys".' internationalmensday.com @johnswinney @RussellFindlay1 @AnasSarwar @agcolehamilton @Ross_Greer @GillianMacMSP
Will International Men's Day be ignored again this year at Scotland's devolved parliament, as it was last year when male suicide was highlighted? @johnswinney @RussellFindlay1 @AnasSarwar @patrickharvie @lornaslater @agcolehamilton internationalmensday.com teapaw.org/scedis_/status/1726657…

Dear @TimesRadio, could Scotland have a breakfast programme similar to the one England has? News - including politics, business and sport - happens north of the border too. 😉 @StigAbell @KateEMcCann @CalumAM @rosiewright99

Scotland has its own version of The Times newspaper. Today's main front page headline (relating to a major story ignored by Stig and Kate) is a prime example of why I believe Scotland needs to have its own Times Radio breakfast programme...

Consider this: You've offended many people in the UK who don't agree with their government's recognition of Palestine. Personally, I will continue to support Israel and its people and will not be swayed by ignorant comments such as those you make.
Dear Brits, You got offended by my comment about the Falkland Islands—a bunch of rocks 8,000 miles from your shores? Good. Now imagine how we Israelis feel about your government’s recognition of “Palestine” over our ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria, its denial of our sovereignty over our capital, Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights, and its constant meddling in our internal affairs and bashing of our country. These lands are in the heart of our country, which is already roughly the size of Wales—not lands 8,000 miles from our shores. Your government criticizes our country’s response to October 7 in Gaza, while it is clear that if your country had been invaded by a terrorist group that killed, raped, tortured, and kidnapped thousands of Brits, while firing thousands of rockets at your cities—as we experienced on October 7—your response would have been much harsher. Britain flattened Germany during World War II, killing millions of German civilians. The casualties caused by British forces in Afghanistan and Iraq were also much higher than those in Gaza, despite the fact that neither of those countries had attacked Britain or posed a direct threat to Britain. Since the biggest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on October 7, we have experienced nothing but hostility, antisemitism, and blood libels from your government. An alliance goes both ways.

In your 'Celebrate Britain' presentations, why do you need to repeatedly mention that Aberdeen is in Scotland? Scotland and England have the same status within Britain but you wouldn't describe places such as Durham as being in England. @tomhfh @Alexarmstrong

Alex, you continued to say you're 'up here in Scotland, in Aberdeen'. Most recently, you mentioned Essex but didn't say 'down in England, in Essex'. I wouldn't expect you to but you should be consistent. Perhaps you don't think the GB News audience knows where Aberdeen is? 😉

Wouldn't you be better contacting Labour's Transport Convenor, Stephen Jenkinson? scotsman.com/news/council-co…
It’s really unacceptable that the trams are closed for this long. The impact on residents, businesses and the thousands of visitors we’re about to have is too much. I’m writing to @EdinburghTrams on behalf of residents to ask for a meeting. Will update.

The democratic vote of the people of Scotland... > The Labour Party's 2024 manifesto says the party doesn't support Scottish independence or another referendum. > In the general election, Labour won 37 Scottish seats and the SNP won 9 (since reduced to 8).
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said to First Minister John Swinney that they will have to agree to disagree over Scottish independence. We are not asking Andy Burnham to agree with independence. We are asking him to respect the democratic vote of the people of Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The pitiful response to this failure from @AConstance23: '...in the first 100 days of Government we will be bringing forward a new national plan for hospital flow.' @JohnSwinney, perhaps you could remind her the SNP has been responsible for over 19 years. scotsman.com/news/politics/a…

There hasn't been a King (or Queen) of England since the creation of Great Britain in 1707.
Hi Frances, I know it was 4 yrs ago, but your memory lets you down. You asked to see me on the day that I attended the Privy Council to choose the next King of England. My minion, as you called her, apologised & offered other dates. Not a coward, just busy - like many women👑

~The SNP has been in government for 19 years because it lies to the electorate and its gullible voters believe the lies. ~We get failure after failure to honour manifesto promises. This has already happened since 7 May. ~It's the SNP that fails to respect democracy and voters.
The reason the SNP have been in charge for 19 years and have been given another 5 year term is due to the fact that’s what people have voted for. Chris seems to have a problem with democracy, like Labour MPs generally do, which most likely explains their continued decline. 🥀

How would you describe politicians who don't permit those they're elected to serve to reply directly to their X posts?
We have had two of the hottest May days on record and wildfires on Arthur’s Seat. We are IN the climate crisis. To say nothing of the fact that it is GAS PRICES making people’s bills high. Scotland doesn’t need this pound-shop Tea Party.

Replying to @GBNEWS
@GBNEWS: > How the SNP spends billions ‘to buy loyalty from charities’ > A&E waiting time crisis could take centuries to fix, frontline medics warn > SNP accused of 'covering up sex crimes' > CalMac warns of 'critical shortage' as eight ferries now out of action

These are recent media headlines of what's happening here in Scotland. How many of them have been discussed on GBNews programmes? @PatrickChristys @Alexarmstrong @MichelleDewbs @Nanaakua1 @MartinDaubney @DawnNeesom The first one appeared in yesterday's Sunday Times:

This morning on #laurak @JohnSwinney lied yet again. There is far from 'a sustained majority support' and recent polling shows only 12-13% (including over two-thirds of 2024 SNP voters) consider the independence question to be a priority. @bbclaurak

Correction... I was too generous in my previous post, which should have read: 'only 12-13% (including less than a third of 2024 SNP voters) consider the independence question to be a priority'.

Disappointingly @TimesRadio Breakfast continues to ignore major news stories from Scotland, whilst giving the impression what's happening in England (this morning for example, special education needs) is applicable across the UK. @CalumAM @rosiewright99

There was a perfect opportunity this morning to discuss this week's events in Scotland with former First Minister Jack McConnell, particularly as he has commented on them to a Scottish Labour MSP. @Chloetilley @Guto_Harri lbc.co.uk/article/lord-advoc…
