Anyone who considers chemistry boring should spend some time with Dale Street 5th graders! So grateful for the generous funding from the @MCPE_Medfield for funding this program!
Dale Street 4th grade scientists eagerly dove into activities, learning about animal super powers, owl pellets, bird beaks, and mealworms! Thank you to the Medfield Cultural Council, a local agency of the Mass Cultural Council @masscultural for helping to fund this residency.
Third and 4th grade physicists at the Pingree school in Weymouth spent the week experimenting with the forces of magnetism, gravity, air resistance, friction, and weight. Thank you @masscultural for funding this residency!
SEED had the opportunity to learn about the Sun at the Harvard Museum of Natural History for the upcoming solar eclipse. We received awesome solar telescopes to share with our students! Can’t wait!
We had so much fun with Nash 1st and 2nd graders @Weymouthps comparing our relatively weak senses to the the super-senses of animals! Thank you @masscultural for funding this awesome residency!
We are so excited to be one of the awardees of this awesome project! We have been hard at work filming, interviewing experts, collecting shells, and learning more about ocean acidification! Partner schools- stay tuned!
Congrats to the new cohort of STREAM Grant awardees! The 2024 projects support coastal education and citizen science with a diversity of MA partners and communities. MIT Sea Grant also funded two additional research-focused projects from our 2023 cycle: tinyurl.com/STREAM2024
Stoughton kindergarteners @StoughtonPS have been busy beavers building dams and lodges!
We had so much fun experimenting with balanced and unbalanced forces with third grade scientists @EdisonK8School in Brighton! We are very grateful to @Akamai for helping us to fund this awesome partnership!
Wishing all of our teachers and students a fantastic school year. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
It was an awesome July filled with Space, Nature, and Forensics activities with our very energetic and enthusiastic campers! We will miss them! @BrocktonSchools
Our Brockton campers have been investigating, exploring, observing, and just generally having fun! @BrocktonSchools
Dale Street @s_grenham 5th graders enthusiastically learned about biodiversity through shell identification. We are looking forward to our last lesson with them on ocean acidification. Thank you @MedfieldK8PTO for giving us the opportunity to work with these awesome students!
We miss our 4th grade friends, but we are excited to start a series of forensic science and natural observations with Dale Street 5th graders @medfieldscience! We especially love it when the teachers participate! Thank you to the @Medfieldk8PTO for your generous funding!
EdisonK8 @EdisonK8School 5th grade scientists created models to learn about the Boston watershed and how humans can impact its health. Thank you @Akamai for funding this awesome partnership!
We love working with @JCSelementary second graders! Thank you to all who help to make this happen! @jcs_spo and The Norton Cultural Council @masscultural
These engineers worked hard to design and build prosthetic legs for a dog. Great job! Thank you @jcs_spo @science_seed
George School @georgejaguars 5th graders proved that magic is really just chemical reactions! Thank you to the to the Brockton Cultural Council @masscultural for making this exciting program possible!

Our friends at @science_seed visited the Dawe School last week for a series of fun, hands-on science lessons with 5th grade @DaweDragons. They are pictured here testing how the temperature of water will impact the brightness of a glow stick.
Every day last week, 5th Grade chemists at @DaweDragons made predictions, conducted experiments, and recorded results to learn about mixtures and chemical reactions. Thank you @masscultural for helping to fund this residency!
