Genetics make a big difference. Sod squares from repair holding strong while older bent succumbed to Pythium Blight. What a season.

New Purdue Turf Disease Report posted - turf.purdue.edu/august-14-20…. Rain, rain go away… threat of saturated soil profiles at the toughest time for cool season turfgrass; fearsome foursome of foliars.
Two shelf clouds in one day is cool and all but we could do without the damage. A lot of work ahead. Tough year keeps on toughing.
August is here and the dance continues between us and Mother Nature. We’ve stepped on each other’s toes here and there but pretty happy with the show so far.
Here’s to a strong Act II!

Summer rains lead to wet golf courses and temporary adjustments to course maintenance. Try to be patient after wet weather, the sun will shine again and conditions will be back to normal before you know it.

#Cincinnati worth noting in this hot streak we're struggling to reach actual air temperature of 90 degrees because of how much rain we've seen this month. It really is the humidity. This will go down as our 9th wettest June on record. #WLWT #wlwtweather #mostaccurate15 #Cincywx

I love seeing a golf course invest in a well designed maintenance facility. Today I got a tour of Certified Golf Course Superintendent, Alan Davis's new facility at Willow Creek Country Club in Sandy, Utah.

10 out of 10 morning! Pretty stoked for the forecast this week as we prepare for this week’s Member/Guest. ☀️ ⛳️
5+” of rainfall this weekend has the course soaked for Memorial Day. We wanted a full course mow out this morning but conditions dictated that we pull the fairways and rough mowers to protect the course. Hot and dry to cold and wet. It all averages out I guess.
Thanks to the students in Mrs. Geske’s 6th grade Science class at @SycamoreSchools Greene School for being so attentive and engaged today!
We talked soil types,#OM, moisture management and many more STEM topics found on a golf courses! ⛳️ 🏌️

Friday photo dump. Skies threatened rain but ended up breaking apart treating us with a very interesting cloud formation to end the day! Great work by the team to lay another truck of sod on 14 in addition to our busy agenda across the rest of the course!
