Sometimes work and fun can magically intersect. This week on a work trip I had the incredible opportunity to see @TheCliburn gold medalist Yunchan Lim perform Rachmaninoff’s 3rd piano concerto with the @philorch under the direction of the legendary @marinalsop in front a packed house at Marian Anderson Hall in Philly. He was even better than when I saw him play the same iconic concerto to become the youngest Van Cliburn competition champion in history in 2022. The concert was so good I went to see him twice in two days! He is fast becoming the great pianist of this generation! #yunchanlim @sofrolimsky1 #vancliburn

It was so much fun seeing Just In Time again on Broadway, this time with Jeremy Jordan and the amazing Isa Briones (best known as Dr. Santos on The Pitt) playing Connie Francis. Her voice is incredible! We were there on her last night of the show. The crowd loved her—standing ovation mid show after one of her big numbers. This is why I love live theater so much! #thepitt #drsantos #justintime #jeremyjordan #broadway #musicaltheater

Fun feature at the @DallasTheater Center’s wonderful Centerstage Gala event. A photo opportunity with pics turned into a watercolor sketch. Nothing like AI to take off 20 years and 20 lbs. Works for me! What a fun night!

I’m honored to be elected as Chair of the @PACouncil board of directors. I’m looking forward to working with CEO Nneka Chiazor and her team to implement our strategic plan and new programs to help PAC cement its place as the universal standard for public affairs excellence. pac.org/public-affairs-counc… #fidelityassociate

Last week I hit State Capitols #35 and 36 in my quest to visit all 50 state capitols. My work trip to the Pacific Northwest let me travel to Salem, OR and Olympia, WA. Two very different styles of Capitol building. Oregon’s is one of only 5 art deco state capitols in the country and is more understated, but befitting Oregon earthy sensibilities. Washington is much more classic and marble-clad. A truly impressive structure. I was impressed by both! #fidelityassociate #ilovemyjob

What an awesome day we had spending time with 170 rockstars at our orientation this weekend on our Fidelity Westlake campus! This is the Fidelity Scholars cohort from Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. All of these incoming freshmen are the recipients of last-dollar full scholarships and wrap-around college coaching and support that will allow them them to graduate on time, with virtually no debt and a job in hand. The Fidelity Scholars program focuses on students from disadvantaged environments, with more than 80% of them being first generation college attendees. Entering the third year of this amazing program, Fidelity now has more than 1,200 scholars excelling at universities across the country. Truly making an investment in this next generation of leaders in our communities! #fidelityassociate

Finney is a fan of the nice cool new floors in our bathroom. Just keeping an eye on things. 😊 #jockandfinney #scottishterriers #scotties

Finney loves his early morning dogwalks. Enjoying a beautiful sunrise. #scotties #scottishterriers #jockandfinney

We had a great time at the amazing Dallas Opera performance of La Boheme last night. The sets, costumes and performers were all incredible. One of my favorite operas and this version is spectacular. Major kudos to @thedallasopera for producing this masterpiece for Dallas! #laboheme

I was honored to moderate this panel of dedicated legislators who will be representing Fort Worth in Austin! It was great seeing their camaraderie and shared passion despite party differences. #fidelityassociate #txlege

This is so powerful, seeing the leaders of the team with such conviction and boldness to profess their faith. #Texasfootball #CFBPlayoff

Is there a bigger whiner of a coach than Kirby Smart? I don’t think so. Enjoying seeing him outcoached and outplayed today. #CFBPlayoff #NotreDame

That Texas-ASU game just took years off my life. Incredible fight by both teams. Texas holds on and nothing but respect for Skattebo and that comeback. #hookem #cfbplayoff #Texasfootball

Finney with the Scottie mind meld. You will give me some of your ice cream. #jockandfinney #scotties #scottishterrier

I love my job, but some days I REALLY love my job. What a delight it was to sit and talk with Dr. Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth! How often do you get to visit one-on-one with a true living legend--someone who has literally changed the world. And to top it off I had the incredible pleasure knowing that Fidelity will be the Presenting Corporate Sponsor for the National Juneteenth Museum, which will soon break ground in Fort Worth. We are thrilled to be partnering with this iconic organization recognizing the importance of Juneteenth and its indelible place in history. Thanks to Jarred Howard, CEO of the museum and to the Fort Worth Forum for bringing us all together to connect!
