Gadi Eizenkot, this evening, shortly after the reports, approved by Israeli censorship, that Chief of Staff Zamir has been standing firm andblocking Netanyahu from intentionally provoking a war before the elections.
"Netanyahu, my eyes are on you.
The man on whose watch the greatest disaster in the nation’s history occurred refuses to understand that Israel’s security is not a political bargaining chip, the lives of Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers are not abandoned property, and the State of Israel is not his private property.
I have full confidence in Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and the IDF commanders who act out of professional responsibility and absolute commitment to the state's security. We will not allow the IDF to be turned into a tool in Netanyahu’s survival campaign.
I warn Netanyahu: Do not dare to place your political interests above the security of the state.
Holding the elections on schedule and completing the democratic process is a central component of Israel's national resilience. We will not allow you to jeopardize Israel’s future in order to preserve your rule.
In two days, the citizens of Israel will put an end to the reign of recklessness and restore responsibility, statesmanship, and Israel’s security.
I give my word.

💥#BREAKING: @YaronAvraham reports that PM Netanyahu & IDF Chief of Staff Gen. Eyal Zamir are in an unprecedented confrontation regarding Iran. Zamir fears that on election eve Netanyahu is driving towards a scenario of immediate, dramatic escalation. *Authorized by IDF censor.*
Heidi was wearing a flak jacket and helmet. Can I even tell you what it takes to break someone's ribs without a firearm when they are wearing a flak jacket?
Context: There is no history of “confrontation” in the Christian village of Taybeh, only unprovoked attack from non Palestinian outsiders.
The Prime Minister's Office:
ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE.
We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence.
Here is what we know:
- The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence.
- The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal.
- Published footage shows masked individuals confronting a diplomatic vehicle. Separate images show a smashed window and a person lying on the ground. These images alone do not establish the complete sequence of events or individual responsibility. Those circumstances remain under investigation.
- Israeli police and forensic investigators have launched an investigation to establish the facts and identify those responsible.
These reports come amid concerns about a coordinated campaign to smear Israel and the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria during the annual olive harvest, relying on sensational headlines before the full facts emerge.
We may see further allegations in the coming days. By the time the evidence is fully examined, the reputational damage from premature conclusions may already be done.
We call on the public and responsible journalists to demand verifiable evidence, reject hearsay, and refuse to turn unproven allegations into a collective indictment of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.
There is no reason that anyone should need to coordinate a visit with the IDF to avoid being attacked by Israeli citizens.
The IDF strongly condemns the severe act of violence that took place in the area of Taybeh, during which diplomatic representatives were attacked by Israeli rioters.
Police forces and forensic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District are entering the area accompanied by IDF soldiers and will begin collecting findings and evidence, as well as taking testimonies, in support of an investigation that has been opened.
The consulate's visit was not coordinated with the IDF. Such coordination is important to prevent incidents of this kind.
According to a preliminary inquiry, no IDF soldiers were present at the scene at the time of the attack. The report was sent to the brigade operations room, which is designated to receive reports from security personnel only, and not from civilians. The operations room receives dozens of operational reports each day and responds only to authorized personnel, not civilians. It should be emphasized that other designated channels are available for civilians to submit complaints. All circumstances surrounding the incident will be examined.
The IDF do not seem to agree with the PMO. They seem quite clear and confident about what happened.

Weidel is asked about same sex partners parenting children. Why does she change the conversation to transgender changes? They have literally no relationship with each other.
The Alternative for Germany party defines the family exclusively as a mother, father, and their children. @Alice_Weidel, the party’s co-leader, explains why she supports that description while raising two children with her wife. Watch the full Insider interview with @zannymb: bit.ly/47u7QKu
This is high level gaslighting, a day after Heidi Levine was nearly killed by settlers attacking the olive harvest, having announced they were going to do it.

Everyone in our profession knows Heidi Levine is a mensch and a badass. Horrifying what happened to her today. Please recover well Heidi and go back and do what we need you to do.
Russia doesn't have the diesel to export that would make any truly demonstrable difference to the price in the US before the midterms. The entire point of the Ukraine refinery campaign was to deprive Russia of diesel so why does Trump think Russia can supply the US now? What has happened can't be reversed in three weeks.
Nobody's life is enriched by witnessing a violent death. It is diminished and our society is too. There is a price to pay and you never get back what you lose. Take it from one who has seen too many.

Almost half the population of Clacton is on some form of welfare and 18 percent are on PIP. If we are looking at welfare dependency let's look at who is on it. Reform constituencies are shockingly over represented.
The PM isn't a liar. There was prolonged Russian interference in the Brexit referendum. That is not the same as saying it changed the outcome. It is however the case that Russia did try to interfere and influence.

BREAKING: Ansarallah (Houthis) have CONFIRMED hits on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This is truly extraordinary to see Ansarallah be able to land successful and accurate strikes on the Saudi CAPITAL, and at the King Khalid Airport.
The last 24 hours has seen enormous escalation in the Ansarallah/Saudi War.
Just yesterday, Saudi crossed what has now become a clear Ansarallah red line by launching one-way attack drones at the Yemeni capital of Sanaa. In response, Ansarallah issued an unambiguous threat:
We’re coming for Riyadh.
But not only did they SUCCESSFULLY strike Riyadh today, but they also hit Jeddah, Yanbu, Jizan, Abha, and more.
Ansarallah has backed up their word. Now the question is:
Does MBS continue to escalate this war?
And Farage's announcement that he was triggering a by election came on the deadline the Guardian gave for his right to reply to reports National Crime Agency had been alerted to suspect origins of Cottrell's mother's donation. It pre-empted publication.
I do have a slight issue however over whether columnists are journalists. I’m not sure they are. The are commentators. Unless they’ve reported. It’s easy to comment. Honest reporting is hard work, esp if it’s honest and without an agenda. I feel fortunate as a foreign correspondent. It is much easier to seek and tell the truth.
I don’t think everyone understand what being a journalist means. I don’t think a journalist can be a member of a political party. Or a supporter. I say this as a foreign correspondent who doesn’t cover domestic politics. I think if you are a journalist you have to stand aside from parties. If you can’t you’re not a journalist. You may however be a columnist.
