Close adult supervision is not enough. The private use of fireworks is unsafe under any conditions. Bottle rockets cause almost 60% of firework-related eye injuries. Sparklers can result in skin burn - 2/3 of sparkler-related injuries are among kids younger than 5 yrs. @sdennymd

We’re excited to kick off our third (!) year of #T4CIP tonight with our largest cohort yet and a rockstar line up of facilitators. We’ll be working toward a Day of Action on May 24 about drowning prevention. @AAPSOPT
T4CIP 2023 cohort of 83 participants (30 med students, 39 residents, and 14 fellows) representing 60 institutions and 28 states. We also have 21 alumni committee members and will do monthly trainings and 2 Days of Actions. Logos of T4CIP, Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children's, AAP Section on Pediatric Trainees and Council on Injury Violence and Poison Prevention.
