Had a great time celebrating our coaches today! Proud to wear the title COACH and to serve alongside some of the best there are. Thank you coaches for all you do and thank you to all of my current and former players for allowing me to do what I love everyday ♥️

One of the greatest honors is being called “Coach”. It means that a young person trusted you enough to listen when we challenged them and felt comfortable enough to come to you when they were struggling. It meant believing in what they could become even when they didn’t see it. Thank you all the great coaches out there! #THSCA

Here is a form an Athletic Director can send to a Head Coach to complete after the season. This is great for data and initiating post-season conversations for growth. Maybe it can help someone out today.

What if the first step in addressing a performance concern isn't documentation, but a conversation?
Tiffany Duncan reminds us that leadership starts with empathy. When a normally reliable coach suddenly changes their behavior, the first question should be simple: Are you okay?
Before jumping to documentation, take the time to understand what's happening, lead with your heart and remember that we're in the business of helping people.
A great reminder for ADs that accountability and compassion can go hand in hand.
