I love this. I played baseball, not hockey, but in the field especially, my conscious brain already did all the training, so as soon as the ball was hit, I just trusted my body to do what it was supposed to do. Flow state, baby - it’s real.
No exaggeration, this guy might be the best interview in pro sports right now

I remember it well; it was the last sporting event I ever attended with my mother. 💐
This Day In @Avalanche History: Oct. 13, 1999 — The Avalanche opened their new home, the Pepsi Center, with a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. Milan Hejduk scored the first goal in the building's history and Adam Foote notched the game winner in the third period

We’ve all watched people at the poker table draw a couple of inside straights… and then they think that drawing an inside straight is a *strategy*. They’re wrong, of course. Football fans – and football *teams* – make that mistake, too.

Can they hand it off to the Dodgers after they blow it?
Honestly in awe that the Chargers are coming up with new ways to melt down

Never did.
I don’t think it has ANYTHING to do with play calling.

One of the risks of going to Plan B so quickly is that there usually isn’t a feasible Plan C. #BroncosCountry

At the risk of getting nitpicked again for warning y’all weeks ago… if you *weren’t* worried about this happening, that’s on you - and before you complain to *me* about it - yes, the #Broncos may very well still win today’s game.

This is both Colorado’s and Denver’s hottest start to a year on record (Jan-Sept), and it’s not even close. Statewide temps so far in 2026 are 1.6° warmer than 2012, a blowout for warmest year-to-date on record. The influence of a warming climate is clear on the chart below.

…and advancing runners into scoring position is still the most effective way to generate runs.
The Rays didn't expect to bunt more often than any team in a decade this season. Nor they did they expect to drive in a run with a bunt more than any team since 1980. But then something became abundantly clear: Nobody knows how to defend bunts anymore. wsj.com/sports/baseball/tamp…

I don’t know how many of you need to learn this, but please allow me to assist: Apologies that blame the people you offended or hurt aren’t actually apologies at all.
Sorry for the misunderstanding regarding my comments on First Take this morning.

I like to debate a lot of things - but mental health is one thing that’s just not up for debate. I’m proud to share my story in this new #LoveYourMind PSA from @HuntsmanMH and @AdCouncil. Visit LoveYourMindToday.org for more tips to prioritize your mental health

It’d be nice if anyone sitting there would’ve found the guts to jump in and confront him during this foolish, ignorant, and patently offensive rant… or maybe they all agree with him. I guess that’s what I’ll just assume.
"Now he calls it quits, not before the season. Not in the offseason…four games into the 2026 season, a dude that has been in the league forever, sits back and says I need to focus on my mental health" – Stephen A. Smith on Lane Johnson retiring

Using Flock cameras to "digitally stalk" her, the officer was recorded telling her, "You know we have cameras in that town, and you can’t get a breath of fresh air in or out of that place without us knowing, correct?" denverpost.com/2026/10/06/fl…

"Flock not only captures photos of Coloradans, but compiles a 'detailed, continuous record' of where they have been, the lawsuit stated. The surveillance system can pull up a person’s complete movement history in an instant and is routinely abused by law enforcement officers".
