Only actual game I've picked up at #UKGE2022 so far is Open Combat from @second_thunder but tomorrow is the final day and I'm concerned I might go hog wild 😅

Became even better in game two. The game really shines with the force back system; Each round becomes a small visual story when the fighting results is shown via the (forced) movement. Three enemies was pushed/fooled into the lava golem!

It's a good rules-set.

Got another five goblins finished (archers and banner) for #miniaturemonday My warband is ten strong now 😃 Enough to play #opencombat but still a few more to paint so I can play #dragonrampant with them! @Warp_Fire @Maelstrom_Matt @second_thunder

“Kill team” version of #opencombat by @second_thunder :) 3 minis aside, “5-1 stats” 6x6 table. 10min setup time, quick and intense but as always satisfying and tactical.

Had a try of this at Salute this year whilst speaking with the chaps. It's got some fun combat mechanics that riff on the Turnover mechanic from Bloodbowl to recreate the ebb & flow of cinematic swashbuckling fights. teapaw.org/second_thunder/status/…
Day three of @UKGamesExpo about to commence. My voice is still working (just), come over to stand A8 in hall 1 to talk, play a demo and/or buy Open Combat early while I can still speak! :) #ukgamesexpo
