🚨UPDATE: OFFICIAL RUSSIAN STATEMENT ON PLANE CRASH Head of the State Duma’s Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov: “At around 11:00, an IL-76 plane from the Russian Aerospace Force crashed near Belgorod airport. On board were 65 former Ukrainian soldiers, prisoners of war, who were being transported to be exchanged. A second IL-76 was following, carrying about 80 more POWs, and it was able to be turned around in time. The Ukrainian leadership was well aware of the exchange in preparation and had been informed of the way in which the prisoners would be delivered. However, the IL-76 was shot down with three missiles. Either a German-made Patriot or an Iris-T anti-aircraft missile system. Specialists will find out later once they’ve studied the actual crash site.” Source: Sputnik
