Here's the Idaho version...
Christian Welp lobbies the Statehouse for the Diocese of Boise and Catholic Charities. He testified against HB 335 in 2025. He came back and testified against HB 764 in 2026.
Both bills went after concealing, harboring, and transporting slaves the cartels traffick into this state. But I still haven't seen the Bible verse that says "support human trafficking."

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is one example. The FY2024 USCCB audit reports revenue of $180.4M from government contracts and grants, 81.8% of USCCB’s revenue, all of which is from Migration and Refugee Services.

I'm proud to be the first mayor in Idaho to authorize the 287(g) partnership with ICE. This gives us more tools to address criminal activity tied to illegal immigration. Our nation has never faced a greater crisis, but we will prevail. We will have our country back!
Amazing!
The City of Post Falls is officially *NOT* a “safe space” for illegal aliens.
@randy_westlund proving once again that he is Idaho’s most conservative Mayor!

Governor, while bills are reaching your desk, many immigration enforcement measures are dying in the legislature despite strong support from Idaho voters.
In Florida, @GovRonDeSantis led on enforcement by pushing statewide cooperation with ICE through the 287(g) program.
Idaho could use that kind of leadership right now. Will you lead?

There’s a bill (S1318) to audit NGO refugee resettlement that @brian_lenney is carrying.
But it appears Jim Guthrie has already taken action.
Step 1: Put it in a drawer.
Step 2: Pretend the issue doesn’t exist.

Special interests defend the status quo. Idahoans are testifying for a level playing field and a legal workforce.

🚨 Tomorrow is going to be a BIG day in the state of Idaho.
Our legislature will be unveiling a series of bills that will make us the toughest state in America on illegal immigration.
We will be bringing the hammer down for good on illegal migration, the government agencies funding it, the corporations exploiting it, and the NGOs making millions of dollars off it.
And I will be speaking at the Capitol at 4:30 MT in support of these common sense measures!

Last session of the Idaho legislature, I wrote a bill that would require Idaho public schools to publish an annual report on how many illegal alien minors are in our schools.
Everyone— from moderate Republicans, Democrats, school officials— fought against this and it didn't make it through.
I can promise you: We are bringing it back again this year.
If nearly 15% of students in the 16th largest school system in America are the children of illegal aliens, just imagine how many there are in Idaho.

RANKED CHOICE VOTING INCREASES BALLOT ERROR RATES BY 1000%
It turns out it's not as easy as "counting to 4".
Starting today, I'll be initiating a "data drop" concerning Proposition 1. The aim is to present concrete evidence from academic studies, regions that tried Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), and surveys, to highlight why Prop 1 jeopardizes the integrity of Idaho's elections. Citations will be shared.
@ianmaxstevenson from the @IdahoStatesman will be CC'd as he is reporting on Prop 1. Most of this data has been missing from his coverage so far.

If you ever wanted proof that the Astroturf corporate media is real, look no further than the @IdahoStatesman, a mouthpiece for McClatchy News. Take, for instance, their latest article pushing Prop 1, penned by a journalist who apparently jets around covering "state politics and climate change" not just for Idaho, but for North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, and even Seattle. Talk about a frequent flyer! How local can his insights really be?

We have good news for Taylor, she has a voice in Idaho! In the primary election, she can choose to vote for the Democratic, Libertarian, Constitution or Republican Party candidates if she wishes to. Or she can choose not to. Why do you deny her agency?

I do not support ranked choice voting. This sounds like a solution looking for a problem that doesn’t exist. The system we’ve got works. I’ve learned in life when you’ve got something like that, don’t mess with it.

What do you call a Jungle Primary activist that identifies as an Open Primary activist?
A liar.
Especially when they continue to bury the Ranked Choice Voting part that actually disenfranchises voters whose ballots get tossed out if they refuse to vote for or rank someone they never want to win.
Primary elections are not general elections. They are SPECIFICALLY held for political parties to decide who should represent their party’s platform in the general election where every single qualified registered voter can make their choice.
One person, one vote.
Prop 1 would let all Idaho voters participate in primaries, including independents.
Apparently, some politicians are afraid of a future where all voters can participate.
