Replying to @NFLFootballOps
@NFLFootballOps Was there an officiating error during the Raven's recovery of the Stafford fumble? The umpire signaled "stop clock" when the ball was initially recovered near the 50 with 1:23 on the clock. The clock appeared to stop.

In today's @NRO column, I provided a reminder that corruption is actually bad (link in comments):
Wow. I knew Biden dropping out might happen, probably should happen. But it still surprised me that it actually happened.
In 1984, Reagan blew his first debate against Mondale. People were talking about how elderly he seemed. Reagan came back with a great second debate performance and won the election.
Can Biden do the same? Time will tell.

If Donald Trump tells you, in detail and in writing, that he's a lawless thug, then my advice to you after seven years of this is to take the man at his word.

Donald Trump is not hiding his theory of the case from you. Nor is he in any way disguising the way he intends to govern if elected in 2024.
It’s surprised that the accounts I’ve long followed on Twitter almost universally criticize Musk, but most seem to continue to use Twitter as their primary platform. I get the competition is fragmented, but I thought there would be greater migration by now.

NEW:
Dramatic new Jan. 6 video shows two GOP representatives speaking with Capitol rioters through the broken windows of the House chamber doors as officers point weapons at the mob attempting to breach the floor.
This evidence was released in response to a request by @NBCNews.

To me, the main lesson from the recent "what if AI kills operator" news stories is not "AI can be dangerous". It's "deadman switches can be dangerous". That was the premise of Failsafe, Doctor Strangelove, Crimson Tide, etc., without any involvement from AI.
A potential real-world example is the nuclear false alarm that took place on this date in 1980. All that took was a faulty $0.49 multiplexer circuity, no AI required. teapaw.org/AtomicAnalyst/status/1…
