Brilliant British engineers at Rolls Royce have pioneered Small Modular Reactors - each of which generate 470MW.
That’s enough to power a million homes for at least 60 years.
They’re compact, totally safe and emission-free.
Why is Britain not doing all it can to accelerate their installation?
Energy would be cheap and abundant, helping our economy boom and making British people richer.
Instead, our politicians inflict hardship on their people, forcing them to subsidise wind and solar to the tune of £300 per household per year for the last decade and giving them the most expensive electricity in the world.
Enough.

The stupidity is one thing, but the terrifying thing is the combination with a total lack of imagination of the consequences which would constrain a normal person
We blame and criticise politicians but it’s clear from the PO enquiry that their civil “servants” who brief them control what they think.
In the case of pubs “you signed the contract” was an easy distraction
In the PO there was equivalent bigotry that takes time to counter

So odd to see news feeds full of pub energy contract stories and firms making unjustified profit margins but when approached with horror stories about RPI, upwards only and rip off beer tie contracts which bust and close pubs there is zero interest. #ukpubs
What does “Clarkson Farm Style” mean? While applauding a new pub in principle the characterisation is curious.
