underappreciated economic indicator - last year, full-sized candy bars on halloween were down at least 80%, very few incidents of full size, much more pectin-based candy. this year it will be worse.

Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.
2026 is a post consumer economy- so much consolidation they dont think they have to offer anything. Just a captive audience and simple extraction
And I skipped AI in that list for a reason- our now superfluous technocrats ruined the launch by trying to control it. It won't be fun or cool until they go away.
You really have to understand how legitimately exciting the internet boom was - then social media - mobile web - apps - blockchain now our techno overlords are just rent collectors dying for a new hit release. The excitement is gone and we want to collect vinyl again
the sad fact is that now when you AREN'T writing using AI, you have to play a defensive game and make sure you don't sound at all like AI. it's kind of sad how much ppl want to stop writing as soon as possible
Companies fail at AI because they only understand finished products - AI helps you improve process and iterate ideas. it's not about giving you the finished product.
i really look forward to using my self-driving flying car in our moon colony, post-high universal income

The pumpkins are big beautiful and cheap here. It's like the only thing in 2026 that meets those criteria.
if you ever feel bad about not getting any interactions on your posts, consider that Zuckerburg has a 3 billion audience capture on FB and can't trick ppl into using Muse (on which he spent $135 B approx.)
