Pleasantness ratings also showed that affective touch was the most pleasant compared to brush tapping and non affective touch. So here we could be certain that the itching stimulus did not impact the pleasantness of brushing.

Having to tell members of the society I'm president of to stay safe and give emergency numbers is depressing.

Fellow Muslims please we need to stop people like Hijab. He's doing so much damage to our community. Our parents and generations before us have worked tirelessly to integrate and make a path for us in the UK.

South Asians from all religions fought in wars amongst the British so that we could live freely and democratically in the UK. People like Hijab are the absolute detriment to this. We HAVE to stop him and people like him.

There is no harm in faith playing a role in British politics - championing how it can be a source of belonging and civic-mindedness. The problem is that we are not seeing a wholesome shared appreciation of faith, but rather the aggressive rise of religious identity politics.

The lack of emotional intelligence, control, and regulation by some in the Muslim community in the diaspora is genuinely astounding, embarrassing, and extremely harmful. Imagine holding a random Jewish Rabbi who shows up to engage your community at a mosque responsible for the actions of a foreign country, in the same way that someone would try to blame you for the actions of Muslim individuals or groups outside the UK. Imagine screaming at and exhibiting verbal violence towards an elderly person because your righteousness about Gaza fills you with blind rage and misplaced anger as if that will achieve anything. How does burning bridges and acting a fool help promote healing, interfaith dialogue, or any opportunity for working out differences and reconciling Muslim-Jewish tensions over what's happening in Israel and Palestine? This person is an idiot and should not be viewed as being representative of how many Muslims are truly interested in engaging with their Jewish countrymen and women to get past this horrendous time. I'd love to meet and speak with this Rabbi if someone can connect us, even if we disagree on the details of this issue. Respect the elders and never hesitate to call out hatred and inappropriate behavior, no matter the identity of the culprit.

Dr Hasan Ali retweeted
My dad grew up in the 1970s. The term Paki was used by racists who sought to make life hell for his generation. When racist gangs would target South Asians in the street they described it as 'Paki-Bashing.' People lost their lives. It's never been banter.
