I launched Silky Saves for the Bay with the hope that it would spark something special in each of us — something we could rally behind, together. 💥⚽   Because at the heart of this, it’s really about being there for each other.   I’ve been incredibly fortunate. I haven’t had to experience the difficult choice between paying rent and putting food on the table. But you don’t have to live through something yourself to care deeply about it.   When I learned that 1 in 6 of our neighbors turns to @2ndharvest each month to help put food on the table, I knew I had to find a way to help.   Food insecurity is right here in our own community, and even a small act of kindness can bring meaningful change.   So I’m asking you to join me. 💗   No matter the size of your donation, you can make a difference right here at home.   And now your gift is TWICE as powerful. In support of Silky Saves for the Bay, Sheryl Sandberg and Tom Bernthal along with Katharine Carroll and Alison H. Rosenthal will match every donation up to $150,000.   🧤 Let’s show what happens when a community comes together for one another: shfb.online/Silky26JS   #SilkySavesForTheBay #FeedingSiliconValley #SecondHarvest #BayFC #EndHunger

As a goalkeeper for @wearebayfc , I’m trained to put everything on the line to make the save.   To throw myself toward the ball. To protect the goal. To be there when my team needs me most.   But some of the most meaningful ways we can show up happen beyond the soccer field — right here at home.   Every month, 1 in 6 people in our community turns to @2ndharvest to access nutritious food.   But this is more than a statistic.   These are our neighbors. Our community. Our Bay Area.   Across our community, people are raising kids, going to school, working, caring for loved ones and building their futures — while navigating the rising cost of living.   The Bay Area has given me so much. It’s where I get to live out my dream, where I’ve found a community and where I'm incredibly proud to call home.   That's why I’m launching Silky Saves for the Bay — to give back to the community that has given me so much and to become part of Second Harvest’s work to help end hunger in our community.   And I’m asking you to join me now.   Because you don’t have to be on the field to make a save. We can ALL play a part.   A $5 gift. A $50 gift. Sharing this campaign with a friend. Every action adds up.   Let's stand together for a Silicon Valley where everyone can thrive.   In support of Silky Saves for the Bay, Sheryl Sandberg and Tom Bernthal along with Katharine Carroll and Alison H. Rosenthal will match every donation made toward the campaign until we reach$150,000.    🧤 Make a save today: shfb.online/Silky26JS   Together, we can make every save count.   #SilkySavesForTheBay #FeedingSiliconValley #SecondHarvest #BayFC #EndHunger
